What an inspiring idea, love it! Many people would agree with the noise issue, not so many would go and implement a product...What was the trigger for you to create Quiet Places Finder?
Catalin Zorzini
@julienergan thanks a lot Julien!

Oh wow! I want this! It looks great, how does it work in the EU if it does at all? Have a great launch! 🎉
Catalin Zorzini
@nuno_ms_reis Thank you Nuno, we are still in the process of bringing more EU data :)

I'm literally switching houses because of the large vehicle noises late night. Wish this also existed for India
Catalin Zorzini
@goforbg I am sorry to hear that, but it's good you are changing house and set your priorities for quiet! Check out earth.fm where you can listen to beautiful nature sounds from around the world at any time you want

Ok I must be honest here. I'm MIND --- BLOWN. No joke. As a growth marketer, I really appreciate quirky and unexpected proucts like this. It's exactly the type of things that go viral. LOVE LOVE LOVE it, Catalin!!! The concept is *chef's kiss* and the design is fantastic. Wow, I seriously love it. Did you consider running a newsletter for updating about new quiet places that are added to the finder's database? Like a once-a-week email

Noise is such a big problem, especially when you work from home all day without proper noise isolation setups like an office. Wish this existed for asia as well, so I can take it into consideration while doing long workations. Regardless Great work Catalin 🔥

Well then I can finally let go of trying to explain to Google each time that I am just looking for a quiet place! Love this, congrats!

@rihab_zd Many thanks Rihab

I would really become a fun of your product if you could also make a version for "find the best working space for digital nomad in a city"!

Woww, this is such a hidden gem app! Just found a secret quiet park around where I live - super cool. Look forward to other community/social feature! (also, best rated coffee shops would be cool)

Get yourself in the newspaper of every major city! Then maybe provide one random free quiet spot and the rest by payment

What a nice idea. The constant noise can be a pain when living in the city and I didn't even think about the effect this has on our health. I just realized that the feature to filter by region does not work for Germany, but I could still see the quiet places in the country, so that was no problem. I am excidet to see how this develops!
Catalin Zorzini
@pixeleonard Thanks a lot Leonard! Please have a look at our main website earth.fm and share some feedabck about that too.

Hey, congratulations. The design gives me a good vibe and peace as well. However, your product triggers my strong curiosity about how you can gather data of quiet places. I'm not sure if someone finds a hidden place and is willing to share for others which can lead to a noisy place later? The only group I think of is social media influencers, TikTok-ers. Just a random thought.
Catalin Zorzini
@tranggpham Hi Trang, we have parsed huge amounts of data manually. Please check out the sources at the end of the page
Olivia Lott
@tranggpham Hi Trang, thanks so much for your feedback :) Glad to hear you love the design! You raise an interesting point about what makes a 'quiet' place. Like you said, if a 'quiet' place gets too much attention, it could later become crowded and lose it's appeal as somewhere peaceful. We considered this to some degree within the research methodology, take a look at this section for more info: "We identified which parks and nature spots are considered quiet by those who visit them. We did this by searching visitors’ reviews for mentions of ‘quiet’, ‘relaxing’, ‘tranquil’, ‘calm’, and ‘peaceful’. This gave us a ‘Quiet Score’, a metric we created based on three factors: the share of each location’s reviews that mention these words; the location’s average visitor rating; and its popularity, and whether that impacts its peacefulness (a place with many reviews may be more crowded and less peaceful, while one with only a few reviews may not accurately represent the typical visitor experience)."

I loved the idea! Sometimes you surprisingly find great hidden places when walking in a big city. Will try it. Congrats and best of luck! 🎉
Catalin Zorzini
@gev_nazaryan Many thanks Gevorg

This is such an amazing idea! I love big cities, but they can often be too much, too loud, and it is great to find a place to rest and recover without all the noise.

Peaceful retreats in the city - what a fantastic idea. THe site is a bit crowded though. Do you need a UX consultant?
This project is a game-changer for ADD people like me. I find it very difficult to live in a busy city!
Amin
Such a cool idea! Do you plan on extending the regions to perhaps Asia and South America?
Theodore Calafatidis
Great idea! Helping people escape the busy city life! Coming from the countryside, living in a big city can take a real toll. It's really nice to see a product like that, that's aims to help people relax and live a healthier lifestyle! Best of luck!
Catalin Zorzini
@th_calafatidis Thank you Theo!
