Hello, product hunters! ๐
Iโm Ivan Iliev - one of the developers of this desktop app and the CEO of Eden Tech Labs - the development studio behind Eden Photos.
I will be super straightforward. There is no GREAT story behind the idea of Eden Photos. ๐คฏ Truth be told, we were just tired of spending ages looking for a photo or organizing every single shot in folders while paying for extra storage over and over again. So we decided to do something!
And that something is Eden Photos. It uses AI to automatically organize your photos and whatโs even better is that it makes your images searchable with state-of-the-art image recognition. Yes, yes, it needs just a few seconds to put everything in categories and voila - now you have all your cat photos in one folder.
The key features ๐ฎ include:
- No need for extra storage
- Effective management of tags
- Saves time and keeps your photos organized
We would appreciate any feedback and suggestions! You can join our Discord channel (https://discord.gg/dpGtMdPHT4) where you can meet other members and get help if you need it.
P.S. We have prepared something for all offer hunters also! During our launch you can purchase a Light subscription plan with 20% off and keep the same price forever! All the way to โพ๏ธ.
A few hours into our launch, I decided to share a bit about my personal backstory with the product.
But first, my special thanks goes to the whole team from Eden Tech Labs (https://edentechlabs.io) that helped make this possible๐
I'd also like to thank the team from Imagga (https://imagga.com) for their continued support in bringing this to life!
This app is quite special for me. It is the first product I launched back in 2015. It was just a taskbar app at the time. It wasn't very successful but it had some clients and was generating revenue. And more importantly I learned so much from it.
In 2016 I started taking on client projects and built a development agency around that. Eden Photos got left behind and despite multiple attempts to revive it in the past 5 years it never moved past the concept phase.
Last year, during the pandemic and the lockdowns I found the stories of some indie hackers and the whole bootstrapping indie dev community. This inspired me to focus on products again and here we are :)
Let's hope this is just the beginning of a streak of launches and that something will stick eventually.
Any feedback will be much appreciated ๐
@iliya_valchanov thanks a lot! There's a lot of mobile apps that do this automatic type of organisation. That's actually one of the reasons we decided to do it for desktop and not mobile.
But if we see how we can bring more value to the mobile domain, we'll definitely look into it.
Have any ideas?
Great product I must say!!!!! .Frankly this came at such a good time.I was evaluating pics.io but this looks exactly like what I was looking for. What's the maximum number of images the tool can hold?
@obie_akpachiogu1 There is no practical limit. There is a limit of the photos you can tag/categorise, by the AI, but if you have higher volume of images, we can discuss the Pro Plan.
@obie_akpachiogu1 There is no limit for manual tagging and categorisation and it's absolutely and forever free.
If you want to use the AI tagging and categorisation, our current paid plan has limit of 10K images per month. Our Pro plan, will support up to 30K recognitions per month.
If you have higher volume needs, we can discuss a custom solution for your case or one time purchase of credits for larger amount.
You can just summarise your case in an email to support@edenphotos.io and we'll prepare a suitable solution for you.
@obie_akpachiogu1 wow, thanks for the feedback!
It currently works with your local files. Cloud storage providers connections will be coming at a later time. So, it can hold as many as your local storage can handle.
The automatic organisation currently has a limit of 10,000 images per month. We'll soon be releasing a plan with more.
How many images are you looking to organise?
