Edison is a calendar app which helps you break big goals into multiple smaller milestones such that you have action items every day. Each and every subgoals are connected so you can see the clear path towards your goal.
Love it. We've been teaching our members this structured approach to goal planning (yearly goal broken into quarterly checkpoints broken into monthly projects broken into weekly to-do's broken into daily tasks) for years, this is the first I've seen someone nail it in an app. I'm immediately hooked, thanks for making this! Can't wait to see it accessible on desktop/web and some integrations with Google Calendar or Todoist!
Hello Hunters,
We conducted a small survey to understand why people set or don't set goals. Very few people set goals and those are mainly related to career and financial status.
We became curious to understand why many don't even set goals despite having goals. The main reason and also the underrated one is "fear of not reaching it" and the second one is they don't know how to draw the path to reach it.
Few are even skeptical to write down what to do they want to finish this week. What we are trying to do is help them to write down their gaol in a hierarchical manner. The daily task should map to the bigger goal so that every day they can see a clear path towards their goal.
Please let me know your thoughts and ideas.
@praveenpoojary1 smart, maybe do a validation through facebook ads to test which pain is greatest? (fear for not reaching a goal or not knowing what steps are required to reach a goal)
I am loving this already. A great UI and well implemented. I hope to see more features soon. Also would like to be able to access it from my computer as well.
One bad thing tho, I don't find the way to access the settings very intuitive on Android. The menu should be easier to access from the main page instead of sliding all the way to the right.
Other than that, great work!! Keep it up π―
Started using Edison Calendar right away. Better than todo's, scribbles or Airtable to keep track of long-term goals. Is it perfect? Not yet, but it gives me better guidance on what's important and what's not and enables me to reach my goals.
This is really cool! I've been looking for a productivity app like this for ages.
Bonus points for making it beautiful and intuitive.
I will be using it right away.
On another note, I really do not like the explainer video (on the Google Play Store). The music is very loud, overpowering and straight up unpleasant to hear.
My advice would be to add a more gentle or sophisticated song. Perhaps even a voiceover.
Also, why make it free?! Charge money! $1.99 a month or more with a 14 day free trial.
@constantijn Thanks a lot for your feedback. Current version is very minimal and this will stay free forever. We are working on much more than just goal tracking. We are working things like how to readjust the plans when things go wrong without getting demotivated, suggestions for proper duration assignment and much more.
