@_jamesmundy You can't be more right! Mailjet is born in Europe (Paris, France) so right in the middle of the US & Australia where the 2 services you name are located respectively, so somehow, right in the middle from our point of view. Still, we're meant to be global, our teams & customers are located around the globe and yes, indeed, to take very good care of both your transactional and marketing email ;-)
@wiloo@Chikodi you should be able to export your list as a CSV from Aweber and upload it to @Mailjet in minutes. Just make sure you remove and bounce/unsubs/spam from your Aweber list before you do (common migration mistake). Any other questions don't hesitate to reach our to our support team!
I would try Mailjet but the thing that keeps me tied to Mandrill/Mailchimp for transactional/marketing is that Mailjet has no way to specify an email template via the API from what I can tell. This means all email template code needs to be handled application side. I much prefer to keep the email templates in Mandrill and just have the application send over a list of merge vars that populate the email.
Is this in Mailjets product roadmap or am I missing the ability to do this via the API @wiloo ?
@ffumarola thanks for your feedback!
Providing support for email templates using our API is an advanced project in our product roadmap, this should land soon ;-). We would love to get your feedback on what you're expecting for this feature. If interested or for any questions, don't hesitate to contact us directly at api@mailjet.com.
Mailjet has been super helpful and easy to use in sending transactional and marketing emails for the company I work for and a project I work on. Their support is top-notch too.
I actually use MailJet for one on my businesses and have been VERY VERY pleased with their service and pricing. MailJet and MailChimp have been my favorites thus far. Good hunt, this is a very good mailing service.
Hey! I'm one of the co-founders of Mailjet. Thanks @erictwillis for hunting @mailjet and to everyone for the nice comments.
We been building an all-in-one email delivery engine to help both marketers easily send newsletters and developers to send transactional email using our APIs. Looking forward to your feedback and comments. Thanks!
