I read this earlier this year and enjoyed it a lot! It's a collection of many of the blog's (https://whatif.xkcd.com/) most popular answers, along with some new.
Some of the questions:
- How much Force power can Yoda output?
- When (if ever) did the Sun finally set on the British Empire?
- If you had a printed version of the whole of (say, the English) Wikipedia, how many printers would you need in order to keep up with the changes made to the live version?
- Supposing you did drain the oceans, and dumped the water on top of the Curiosity rover, how would Mars change as the water accumulated?
The book doesn't have a lot pages. In a day or two you will be through. I promise you will laugh a lot & might even learn something.
@nikgraf Great reminder! As a bonus, audiobook (from Blackstone) is read by Wil Wheaton! I'm listening on Scribd as we speak.
Great book for the curious among us!
XKCD.com has to be one of my all time favorite websites. I have utilized their science-logic-humor many a time for quips and comebacks. So when this was released as a physical and audiobook my geeky-self couldn't help but devour it and recommend it as much as possible. If you haven't read it... Do it... For the sake of the universe.
