Hello Product Hunt! Here’s what’s happened since you premiated Endel’s science-driven, AI-powered soundscapes with a Golden Kitty in 2022… In one and a half years, the number of Endel users diagnosed with ADHD or experiencing ADHD-related challenges rose from 31% to 53% – as shown by our onboarding survey. Helping against distractions is Endel’s area of expertise. However, filtering out distractions multiplied by unique ADHD traits of a neurodivergent person is a whole different kind. Luckily, Nik @adhdvision, an ADHD advocate and Endel’s long-standing collaborator, helped us form a set of features to match — some of them going beyond just sound. Nik’s engaged community willingly participated in the research, testing, and even marketing for this new face of Endel. The resulting major update was co-created with hundreds of ADHD people who entrusted their focus, relaxation, and sleep to Endel even before the app could offer a proper ADHD-focused experience. But now, they have their own domain inside the app! The best way to get to know the new features is to check them out yourself with this free extended trial link (1 month free): https://endel.io/producthunt Even if your life patterns are not affected by ADHD, you might still find useful features in this update. Whether neurodivergent or neuronormative, we all need help with distraction! Here’s a quick summary of what the update has to offer: • A tunable, endless, AI-generated soundscape featuring popular Colored Noises widely used in sound therapy (white and black included), plus our own special Endel Noise designed for longer listening sessions • An App Blocker feature that turns your phone from a FOMO-fueling machine into a source of calm. You can manually choose which apps to mute or temporarily block whole app categories (messengers, media, etc.) • Three sound Scenarios made to support ADHD: Attention Boost for work, Brain Massage for a break, and Binaural Beats for both • A task headline added to our Focus Timer tool, to help you keep your goal in sight when working. This simple affirmation technique gives you a psychological boost and helps with finishing tasks • A streamlined app interface that places a range of sounds and features at your fingertips – and does so in style • As an extra, we’ve produced a capsule collection of merch. Being a community-driven project, this release was destined to be coupled with some nifty merch as a means of two-way support I’d love to hear any thoughts and suggestions you might have relating to the new features — feel free to share them in this thread. Questions will also be appreciated.

@adhdvision @philippkaretov Congrats on bringing your idea to life! Wishing you a smooth and prosperous journey. How can we best support you on this journey?

@kjosephabraham Thank you for the warm welcome 🤍 Your shoutout and upvote are a great support already, but as soon as you're asking, I'll be grateful if you try the app (please use my link for the extended trial) and let us know what you think! Bonus level for core supporters: spreading the word about Endel is the greatest recognition 🖤
Vincent Valentino
Just a heads up: your "After Endel" image says 'Distracted, Sleepless, Stressed". Pretty sure you don't want to advertise that as being the result of using your app.
Philipp Karetov
@vinvalentino True! That's a shame I overlooked that. Thank you, Vincent! It will be fixed soon…
ChildOfChaos
Seems to be completely broken on Mac. Created an account, can login to the web interface just fine. Can log into the Mac App just fine, the minute I subscribed to the 30 day trial and then try to login to the Mac app it says "Response serialization failed" and won't log me in any more.
Philipp Karetov
@smarky Thank you for flagging. The fix for this is in the pipeline, sorry for the bumpy experience on Mac.
ChildOfChaos
@philippkaretov 10 days later and still cannot log in, would have thought this should be higher priority to fix? Mac users just locked out completely all this time? Doesn't seem a good way to attract subscribers when the service cannot even be used.
Ali Eskandari
Got a few buddies with ADHD - will tell them to check out Endel. Congrats on the launch!
Philipp Karetov
@ali_eskandari Thank you! This means the world to me and the team: when you share Endel with your close ones, we see it as the best sign of recognition 🙏

💎 Pixel perfection
I’ve been an Endel user for years and I’m always impressed by the value the team continues to add to this product. I was also recently diagnosed with ADHD, so I was thrilled with the latest update. To be clear, neither I nor the developers are claiming this is some kind of non-FDA miracle cure for ADHD; rather, it’s a tool for ADHDers to put in their toolkit, along with CBT, medication, diet/exercise, and other treatments. I have ADHD-PI, and I’ve found that I work best with low levels of ambient noise + noise canceling, especially in public (but even sometimes at home). I think this is a perfect use case for Endel: I have found over the years that despite my desire to listen to my favorite music while working, I actually get pretty distracted by it, esp if it’s complex and certainly if it has lyrics. So this suite of tools, which includes ambient noise and more structured sounds, is a great focus aid for me (again, I do all the other treatments too)! Would highly recommend giving this a try
Philipp Karetov
@andrew_appleton_pine Andrew, thank you for sharing! This is the best reward for us, the team: someone who often uses the app formulates the thoughts we nourished in our hearts when working on a feature. I wish you all the best, your attitude to this new situation in your life is an inspiration 💎
Elke
This toolkit sounds fantastic! The endless tunable soundscape of colored noises seems like a game changer, especially for those of us striving for focus. It’s great to see a product that’s backed by science and genuinely co-created with the ADHD community. The app blocker feature is a smart addition too—distractions can really hinder productivity. Kudos to the team behind this launch! It's definitely something I’d upvote on PH. Can’t wait to see more features down the line. 👏
Philipp Karetov
@elke_qin Thank you, Elke! You're right, this wouldn't ever happen without the community support (like many things in life), thank you for yours, btw! And we're proud to be among the first non-ADHD-specific products / brands to benefit ADHD people. I share the sentiment and also can't wait for more updates like this to come!
Ema Elisi
This is an impressive update, @philippkaretov! The growth in ADHD users truly reflects how well you’ve tuned into the community's needs. Excited to see the new App Blocker feature in action; a calm phone sounds like a game changer! 🎉 The focus tools sound perfect for anyone, ADHD or not. Can't wait to test the Attention Boost scenario—fingers crossed it helps me finally finish that book that's been sitting on my shelf! What other scenarios are in the pipeline?
Philipp Karetov
@ema_elisi Thank you for your kind comment, Ema! We often start with asking Endel users about the situations, moods, and contexts where they feel an Endel scenario might be of help. What would be yours?

@zulkarnaim Thank you so much! This made me smile inside ♥️
Kyrylo Silin
Hey, Do you have any specific studies or data on how this helps people with ADHD? Congrats on the launch!
Philipp Karetov
@kyrylosilin Thank you for your question! We also put science first when adding new functionality to the app. When working on the Colored Noise soundscape, we studied every white paper on which we could get our hands. With the rest, we relied mostly on recommendations and testimonials of ADHD experts and the community — for the reason of not enough data in this field. This brought us to planning our own research of ADHD and sound, but it's at too early stage now to announce. So, stay tuned!
Star Boat
This is such a cool and unique product! Congrats on the launch, @philippkaretov!
Philipp Karetov
@star_boat Thank youuuuw :) I'd never want it to be different, but making things your own way is a rocky path (this also sounds somewhat cool, though, hahah)
Milli Sen
Congrats on the launch! This is super cool!
Philipp Karetov
@millisen A super cool launch, superpowered by ADHD 😎

Nifal Adam
This toolkit looks like a must-have for anyone looking to improve their focus and productivity. The tuneable soundscapes and app blocker feature seem like they would be incredibly helpful for managing distractions. The fact that it's backed by science and supported by the App Store and ADHD influencers gives me a lot of confidence in its effectiveness.

@jonathanedwardbrooks Thank you! As a community manager, I take your comment very personally <3
Velalagan M
How does this work exactly?
Philipp Karetov
@vel_alagan Thank you for your curiosity in Endel 🙌 Use this link to get an extended free trial (1 mo): https://endel.io/producthunt The onboarding process will help you navigate through the app. The basic ‘modes’ that Endel sounds can help you with are Focus, Relax, and Sleep. You'll find the soundscapes with these names on the main screen, along with 30+ more sounds serving the same purposes. All Endel sounds are generated on your device in real-time and adapt to your heart rate, motion, time of the day, weather, and circadian rhythm. It's all data-ethic and science-backed. For ADHD-specific features, look for Colored Noise soundscape and App Blocker — you won't miss the latter, it's added to all main states within the app. And, above all, enjoy! Please let me know if you have further questions or requests.
Rihanna
Hi @philippkaretov Congrats on the launch! I can't wait to wear it 🙌
Philipp Karetov
@rihanna_y It's up and running, so you can try it for free whenever you want: https://endel.io/producthunt
Shaira Mae
Can this be used along with other apps?
Philipp Karetov
@shin_comms Oh yes! Endel can play in the background even when you're listening to a podcast, a book, or having a conversation. Look for the ’Blend audio‘ button on the player screen.
Taurean Bryant
I honestly felt silly as hell subscribing to an app for some soundscapes and couldn't fathom how it could be worth the money when I started my trial. I'm begrudgingly a happy customer as is the handful of people I've recommended Endel to. Incredibly handy, especially for people with ADHD or people struggling to have a consistent sleep routine.
Philipp Karetov
@_taurean 👏👏👏 Speaking about ADHD and sleep, would you use a sleep quality tracker in the Endel app?
