Eraser AI is the first copilot for technical design. Create and edit diagrams and docs with Eraser AI. Write natural language prompts which output diagram code that you can save and edit with Eraser.
Hi Product Hunt community 👋
There are so many coding copilots for engineers today, but where are copilots for non-coding tasks like drawing architecture diagrams and writing tech docs?
Eraser has generated 1 million+ (!) diagrams for our users in the last year and we are excited to launch Eraser AI, the first copilot for technical design. We want to take out the tedious parts of technical design for engineers and architects.
Here's what's special about Eraser AI:
🖼️ Rapid diagram generation – Draw that diagram in seconds, not hours. Eraser can generate beautiful, colorful, icon-studded diagrams. Choose from 4 different diagram types and include images in your prompts if you'd like.
⚙️ Full control on editing – You have a first draft, how do you make it perfect? This is where Eraser AI really shines. If you know exactly what you want, you can make direct diagram code edits. If it's open-ended or tedious edits, you can follow up with more AI prompts. Eraser AI always gives you full control.
📃 Tech doc outline generation – You're now set on diagrams, but need to write a design doc along with that diagram? We've got you covered. With Eraser AI, you can generate outlines for planning docs (RFCs, design docs) or documentation (READMEs).

So you tell me that I can now design with written words?
That's great! I have been spending years using Figma and now I know this tool.
Great job guys! Upvoted!
@tiepvuvan You bet! A lot of indie hackers tell us their work pipeline is Figma (for mockup) → Eraser (for technical design) > VS Code (to write code).
Thank you @tiepvuvan
I am glad you came across Eraser and I hope it finds a home in your development workflow. We find that it works very well with Figma to fill a void at both the start and end of our Figma-based product design work.
Awesome product! @shin_kim1 Eraser AI is indeed a great tool for technical design. Create and edit diagrams and docs with natural language prompts that output diagram code. How does Eraser AI handle complex technical concepts and ensure accurate translation into diagram code?
Love the product. Love the team. Love what it enables me to do.
You've solved for the hardest part of diagramming – especially for a non-technical tech person like myself!
Congrats team. Can't wait to see what's next!
Incredible! Eraser AI is not just about the speed of creating diagrams but also the ease of making adjustments and generating accompanying tech docs. A solid tool that enhances productivity dramatically. Congrats on the launch, team!
@thetlinthu Thank you! We glad you feel about the tool this way! Our goal was to make the best documentation and diagramming tool for engineering teams and beyond, and comments like yours reinforces our belief that we are moving in the right direction.
@nickhung Our designer @thisisehsan is going to love hearing that! Would love to know how it goes. Which diagram type do you think is going to be most helpful for you?
This is super useful, I am building a low-code tool to integrate RAGs with LLM for online businesses. This is going to come in handy on our landing page. Congratulations on your successful launch and yes the video was great and super funny. GG guys.
Eraser is one of my favorite whiteboarding tools, easy to get going, a free tier which is reasonable enough when you want to share a board with someone
@m_dolr really appreciate your endorsement here Maxime! We really try to make it easy to get started but powerful enough to handle complexity so this means a lot to us.
Using it daily for all of my projects. Super useful when you need to change a tiny bot and redraw the whole scheme because of it - Eraser does it all for you
I'm following Shin's team since the early days, in particular DiagramGPT last year. It's amazing to see the speed of development and what Eraser AI has become.
The product is intuitive to use and the level of quality it produces is fascinating. It's the next step in software automation without any doubt.
