I've been following Glenn McDonald for more than ten years, since his War Against Silence essays (http://www.furia.com/page.cgi?ty... - hands down the best music writing happening at the time). He's now digging through data at Spotify, crafting playlist tech and other apps which power the recommendation engines over there. Spotify is in great hands, and this weekly sorting hat is one example of how much human work is happening underneath the hood.
