I am Polina. I am a co-founder of the startup Experimenters. We dream of improving the quality of education and making it more accessible.
We are at the beginning of our journey. You are our first users. Your feedback and suggestions will directly influence the further development of this application.
Our product is a virtual laboratory for circuit design. You might think it’s just another electrical circuit simulator, but it's more than that. Unlike other electrodynamics simulators, our application can help you prepare for real experiments and, if necessary, replace a real laboratory.
You interact with the instruments as you would in real life: through buttons, toggles, and switches. All of this happens in real-time with high mathematical accuracy in calculations. You might even initially get tangled up in the wires, but later, when faced with real instruments, you will be absolutely ready.
This virtual lab seems like a great educational tool!
How realistic are the simulations compared to real-world experiments? Do you have any feedback from educators or students who have used it?
@kyrylosilin All experiments related to the simulation of basic electrical experiments are modeled quite realistically, and students should not notice any difference. In the future, we plan to expand the number of components and, with the introduction of new devices such as oscilloscopes and transistors, we intend to enhance the simulation a bit by imitating noise/interference and device heating. So far, the teachers we've shown the laboratory to have been satisfied but requested a larger component base.
@sharon_workman Thank you! We are planning to add multiplayer. I believe that such collaborations can teach students how to work in groups, not just independently.
Hey @experimenters
Experimenters Circuits is a game-changer! This virtual lab lets you learn electronics anywhere with realistic simulations and instant feedback. Perfect for students, teachers, and tutors
It's reassuring to hear about the realism of the equipment. Authentic simulations can prepare students for practical applications in their future careers.
@tim_david12 Thank you! We also believe that practical experience is crucial. The technical capabilities of modern computers now allow us to achieve high-quality simulations.
@zaheer_khan6 Thank you, that's a great idea! We're currently working on a system to simulate faulty circuits. Troubleshooting these can be challenging for beginners, but it's an essential skill. It's often easier for beginner to design a working circuit than to diagnose issues in a faulty one. We plan to add features where devices can fail when power limits are exceeded, turning into breaks or shorts.
This looks awesome! Love the visualizations! This looks like a great educational tool. If I had this when I was in high school, I might study physics a bit harder😝
@experimenters
Congratulations on launching Experimenters Circuits! 🎉
It’s fantastic that your educational virtual 3D lab lets users conduct electrical circuit experiments with realistic equipment and immediate feedback. It's especially great that there’s no sign-up required to use it!
One area for improvement could be the page loading speed, though it might have been a bit slow due to the high volume of users on launch day. Keep up the great work! 🚀🔌
@naomigarcia Yes, you are absolutely right, and we are working on it. Our lab incorporates content caching, so subsequent launches will be much faster. We are also working on optimizing the build size. Additionally, mobile and PC/Mac OS versions will be released soon, which will only need to be installed once.
Thank you for your feedback!
Experimenters is an innovative startup aiming to revolutionize education by making it more accessible and practical. Their flagship product is a virtual laboratory for circuit design, which stands out in the crowded field of electrical circuit simulators by offering a highly interactive and realistic experience
For anyone looking to deepen their understanding of circuit design in a safe, cost-effective, and highly interactive environment, Experimenters' virtual laboratory is an excellent choice..
Haha, this is so cool!
Have you thought about extending this to the Solar Industry?
If done right, this could be a cool tool to help electricians that are looking to expand into the Solar Space, that position is at high demand and underserved
@davisnz That's a very interesting idea! We haven't thought about it yet, but in theory, if we implement lighting calculations for specific locations, we could create simulations for both industry and green energy. However, we are currently focused on education. We're a small team of two enthusiasts!
