Fathom records, transcribes, and summarizes your Zoom calls, so you can focus on the conversation at hand.
Easily share call highlights with your team via email and Slack. Automate post-call data entry into your CRM, Google Docs, or Notion.
Hello again Product Hunt and thanks to @chrismessina for hunting us again!
Roughly a year after our first launch, we're back with a bevy of exciting new features for your favorite — and still completely free — Golden Kitty-finalist AI notetaker.
🤖 Real-time AI Summarization. Our AI now summarizes any highlights or action items you flag on a call in seconds, so you never need to type anything while in a meeting: Just Click!
🤖 AI Call Summaries. In addition to instant access to your recording and transcript after your meeting ends, you now get a complete, concise call summary generated by our AI. Turn a 30-minute call into a 30-second read!
📽️ Playlists. Rather than sharing individual call highlights, you can now organize and share a whole playlist of highlights from multiple calls. Use it to pull together the biggest aha! moments from your latest user research calls or build a sizzle reel of excited reactions to your killer product demo!
🔥 Redesigned Desktop App. Based on your feedback, we've completely redesigned the Fathom app to take up less screen space, be easier to use, and added new upcoming call notifications that tell you all about who you're about to meet with.
🌐 Multi-Language Support. Fathom now speaks in French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, and German in addition to English!
🖼️ Embed Highlights in Notion. Now your colleagues can watch any Fathom call highlight directly inside of Notion.
🗂️ Coda Integration. With our Coda Pack, you can pull down all of your highlights into Coda to organize and share with your team.
🌳 Carbon Net Zero. We're really proud to announce that Fathom is offsetting all of our carbon footprint as of 2023. While it's a small dent in the problem, I think it's an important message to send to both our customers and competitors that this sort of thing should be expected not exceptional.

We also want to celebrate some of this past year's successes with you, the community that launched us into the stratosphere:
📈 15X Usage Growth. As you can see from the last slide, our Product Hunt launch springboarded our growth at the start of last year, and we've never looked back!
🏆 650+ Reviews and a perfect 5.0 on G2. Your reviews (thank you so much!) helped propel us to be the 🥇#1 highest-rated app forTranscription, Meeting Management, and Conversational Intelligence (SMB) as well as the 6th Fastest Growing Product of 2023.
💸 $6.7M Raised. Including $1M from our amazing users via our Wefunder campaign (that you can still invest in Fathom through for another few weeks).

Thank you again for all your support this past year, and we hope you love all the new additions. 💙
We’d love your feedback and will be here all day for your comments.
Fathom is the product it is today because of feedback from our community, so please do not hold back 😅
@chrismessina@richard_white congratulations on the launch! I have used Fathom in the past, and it has been a great resource to have by your side! All the best for 2.0 launch!
@richard_white Fathom is one of the key tools in my stack and something I recommend to all my founder clients. The AI summaries (real-time and post call) are crazy accurate. I call it my Meeting Brain. I’m looking forward to checking out playlists. Congrats to you and the team.
Fathom 1.0 was one of the biggest launches on Product Hunt in 2021 — and one that I consistently used when I coached makers on their own Product Hunt launch plans!
Fathom is an essential tool during all my calls — and allows me to quickly grab a transcript, send a clip, assign tasks, or revisit important parts of a call to refresh my recollection.
I've used Fathom for sales prospecting, user feedback sessions, client and coaching calls, and more.
Some of the new Fathom 2.0 AI-powered summarization tools have to be tried to be believed. They're fast, reliable, and useful.
I'm still blown away this is free!
@chrismessina Really happy to be back in the saddle again with you my friend. Thanks for hunting us and for the kind words.
PS You're going to continue to be blown away because we plan to keep the core Fathom experience free!
We're big fans of Fathom here at @trychameleon -- the whole team uses it, for prospects, customers, candidates, partners, etc.
We had considered Gong but it was too sales oriented, and we wanted the whole company to benefit from a Zoom-first world.
The first time I saw the AI summaries it really was magic, and I'm glad about it rolling out to everyone!
@trychameleon@_pulkitagrawal Really happy to read this. It really validates our vision of Fathom being a tool for everyone in an org not just the folks on the sales calls.
Glad you're enjoying the AI summaries but don't think we've forgotten about some of your other killer feedback: we're on it :)
Thanks for your support!
Thanks guys, I've been using Fathom in the last 6 months, must say that it saves me hours every week. It also makes it super easy for me to share videos with my board, without the need for video editing and looking back at the video again. So I'd definitely recommend Fathom and hope they will keep the good features and good pricing :)
@nevoalva This is what we love to hear! Also, don't you worry - we have no plans to change pricing for the core Fathom experience that you see here today :)
Huge! I use Fathom literally every day, and it's hard to imagine going to back to manual notetaking / forgetting stuff. These upgrades sound amazing as well
@davidledgerwood Yay! Thanks for being a fantastic advocate and influencer for us.
I appreciate the support let me know if there's anything I can ever do to improve your Fathom experience
Fathom is so useful. It's one of those tools that doesn't get in your way, but makes meetings so much more efficient. No more action items slipping through the cracks—that's the best benefit in my opinion!
@nscalice Being useful without being in the way is so important and so difficult to balance. I'm glad we're doing a good job. Thank you for your support!
@garik_avetisyan So happy to hear that! Let me know if I can help in anyway or if you have any feedback as you get more calls with Fathom under your belt.
@lastridgely Thank you! We actually have a lot of demand for right-to-left languages like Hebrew which will require a little more UI work but that we're excited to get out there.
Congrats on the new launch! Our team loves Fathom - definitely a game changer to help keep everyone on the same page. Loving the AI summaries to help simplify our meeting notes and make action items clear. Maybe in the next release you can have the AI just meet for us and summarize what we would've discussed? 😅
@rick_henrikson Haha I do think at some point in the not-so-distant future you'll have AI salespeople talking to AI prospects. So we'll see what we can do :)
I love the idea but Zoom is probably the 3rd or 4th tool I use (I know this is not about me) so just wanted to know if there were plans for Teams, Google Meet etc
Congrats on the launch team!
Question: What have you found is the hardest part of making notes useful? What's the difference between the teams that generate notes that no one ever reads, and the ones that get a lot of value from their call notes?
@davidspinks Great question!
There certainly is a difference between good notes and bad notes but I think inherently notes just aren't that engaging compared to hearing something directly from another human.
Thus we focus a lot on getting people to watch the right parts of these recorded conversations rather than trying to come up with a textual artifact that tries to explain it.
Transcript search, ability to annotate key passages, and even our new AI summaries are actually all designed to do that: help you find the moments that matter to you so that you can watch them.
So that would be #1 and then #2 for me is simply how to make all of that more discoverable. That's where things like sending to Slack, copying a summary to Notion, or syncing to your CRM come in. It's important that this content get cross-posted to wherever it might be relevant to people later.
Again, really great question, curious what you've seen yourself. Thanks for your support!
