Wherever you are, FindARun allows you to plan your running routes in advance by simply tracing out the route on a map. As you plan your route, you can see estimates of how long the run will take, how far it will be, expected calorie burn, and more.
I made this app in December 2018 to make it easier to plan my own runs. I thought that others would find the app useful, so in January 2019 I released it on the Play Store. After 6 months and 25k users, I've revamped the app and released FindARun 2.0 for Android.
Try it out and let me know what you think!
@kbuneme I really loved this app, and we have featured it as the top 10 Android apps for August on our blog.
Can you please share the link in the featured product here on the PH?

@kbuneme intuitive route sharing is one of the major failings of Strava in my opinion. Komoot is growing into this space mostly among cyclists so I think there's still a big opportunity for a running app to get it right and catch on with runners of all levels and environments (urban, trail, etc)
@john_mctavish Thats a great insight, hopefully I'll launch this feature by the end of this month!
Are you thinking of sharing an image of the route (so that you can share it with anyone), or are you thinking of sharing the route itself (which means that only users of the app can view the route)?
@kbuneme It really depends what directions the user community want to go with it. Options that come to mind:
1. I create a route for my weekend long run and want to share with other local runners, first with an image, then if they want to join the onboarding should flow easily through that.
2. I create a route + start location and time. At this point it has the potential to become a group event. Both image and route itself are needed. Same onboarding process as above.
3. I live in a beautiful area and have run every street or trail. I create and share the 'best' running routes in X city which app users could find if they visit or I could share on social networks to non-app users.
just brainstorming a bit. These are all things I've tried to do with other apps and basically given up on because it just became tedious.
