Wow. This app is quite a necessity. By end of the day I’ve opened every app multiple times in tabs, Putting too much load on my browser.
Alexey Fedorov
@bilal_chaglani Glad you like it. I believe that this is a useful app, I use it every day.

Dealing with lots of web apps in a classic web browser is really painful. Love your idea and the implementation! 👍

@alex_shvalev Thanks a lot, Alex!

Hey Product Hunters! These days, we’re used to getting a browser update every two weeks. But what if I said that your browser was outdated? Browsers were invented 30 years ago, and their only function is surfing the web. In 2020, 73% of US companies used cloud services, with each employee using an average of 8 web applications. Imagine needing to have 8 web apps always hanging in your browser to be immediately accessible! Web apps should always be on hand to quickly open and not interfere with your browser tabs. Browsers are trying to solve this problem by adding unnecessary features like pinned tabs, shortcuts, and side panels. But that’s not enough! If you’ve ever scrambled to find a tab among 50 others, been distracted by social networks, or waited impatiently for pages to load, you need Firework! Firework allows you to seamlessly create web apps: • Your everyday web apps are always at hand. You can add work web apps like Gmail, Trello, Calendar, anything. They will turn into separate desktop apps, and you can pin them to the Taskbar or the Dock. • All your web apps are located in a single place. The Firework main window works just like the Start button. By clicking on it, you can immediately see all your apps and quickly run them. You can also do the same thing with a simple keyboard shortcut. • Your web apps will be ready to launch right away. You don’t even need to wait for the page to load: they’ll open up just like regular desktop apps. Also, like regular desktop apps, your web apps will open in separate windows. • It’s easy to work with different browser profiles and use one service under different accounts. Web apps are not web pages: they should be true apps!

@afedorovn Cool product, Does it get any extra benefits if the site in question has already implemented itself as a progressive web app?
Alexey Fedorov
@crowdhailer If you add PWA to Firework, you will got PWA benefits with native app benefits. Such like like putting it on tray, moving from one app to another by Alt + Tab, ready-to-use when you close it (you don't lose session and don't have to wait till app is loaded).
Peter Saxton
@afedorovn thanks for the answer. I've recently added PWA functionality to https://sendmemo.app and mostly I'm pleased with the result but there are still a rough edge or two and this sounds like it might really help. All be it will only help with my own use of the app but that's a start.
Alexey Fedorov
@crowdhailer Please tell me what you get. Some web apps developers use Firework as an official desktop client.

The idea is very interesting I navigate between 50 tabs daily however I am blocked in terms of use because it uses an internal browser that is limited in functionality such as impossible to add extensions (password manager / ad blocker / ...). I have added on your feedback forum a proposal for using Chromium or directly if it is possible use the internal browser of the desktop. Otherwise continue the idea seems very good and if a Chromium is added I will surely use it to 99% ! :)
Alexey Fedorov
@quentin_gosset Firework uses Chromium engine. So extensions are only it's only a matter of time. We are going to add this feature ASAP.

What's the difference of your product from "Chrome menu - more tools - create shortcut - open as window" option?
Alexey Fedorov
@ali_ilhami Thank you for the great question! Firework allows you to use one web app under different browser profiles (you do not have to switch between accounts). Also, Firework allows to customize icon and window appearance.

Great effort, guys. You should definitely work on your License agreement and other legal docs if you want this thing to fly internationally.
Alexey Fedorov
@vasgo Yes, sure. We will do it. Thanks! 🙇🏻‍♂️

i dont think this is worth 500. I dont see additionnal value that a web browser cant do?
Alexey Fedorov
@bob_gervais 500 is lifetime license. You can use much cheaper subscription. I hope you will like it.

@afedorovn what your app do that an web browser dont?
Alexey Fedorov
@bob_gervais You can make sure that a web apps are always up and running. You won't have to wait for a page to upload. You can run each web app in a separate browser profile. For example, use 10 accounts in one service without switch. There are many other little features.
