Built this game experience to motivate working-out. The game uses ML pose detection to identify movement and uses the real time physical motion as controller to play a fun, endless-runner game.

Hey Product Hunt Communityđź‘‹ Excited to launch our first beta on Product hunt! FitSaga is game to make running indoor hopefully a little more fun. Think Temple Run mobile game, but with real running and jumping. The game uses the webcam from your laptop to detect various poses and triggers the movement within an endless runner game. To play this game you need no other gear other than your laptop. The download links are in the website and completely free. I would love to hear your feedback and whether this sort of experience is of interest to you folks. **Why did we build FitSaga?** We have seen from personal experience and from talking to others, that the pains of cardio/exercise and the gains that are noticeable only over long term( months or sometimes a year), prevents people from making working-out into a habitual activity. We hope here that spinning the work-out as a game, will make folks forget they are working-out, rather divert the mind away to having fun. Family and friends, who were our guinea pigs while developing the game, seem to enjoy the silly game we built. ** How is the system built?** We used Tensorflow MediaPipe for pose detection and built custom models to identify variety of cardio poses. The image capture is done through OpenCV and the models are built in Python. The endless runner game is built on Unreal Engine. **Where can you follow us?** You could subscribe to us and/or follow us on LinkedIn. The links are on the website.
