Fiverr Faces is part of a bigger push to strengthen Fiverr's position across different verticals, beginning with creative design (it's one of our most popular categories on our mobile app).
Looking to shine a light on other categories soon.
At first I wasn't sure what this had to do with Fiverr, but I think I got it now. It lets me hire artists for 5 bucks to turn my photo into a cartoon. Is that right @ariked?
@andrewwarner yes, but not for $5. prices are starting at $10 :) but it's now free for the first 500 orders...
@ariked Great niche and looks quite fun, kudos. I have tried to get a face but it did not work. To get the free face I understand that you need to share a link, but even after doing so (I tried messenger and twitter) nothing happens and I have the message "You have no active orders". Any idea of what is going on?
Really smart.. I'm sure companies could create services just based off the demand of what's popular in Fiverr.
I think this is a fantastic example of a Zoom-In Pivot, spotting a single feature/niche and defining an entire product around it.
Also, this feels like something that's 100% aligned with PH users - jaw-dropping selfie avatars? Became a paying user this am :)

@andrewwarner because I thought of myself as quite crazy, with wacky ideas etc. - but you're right, it's probably no longer very fitting, as nowadays I don't have as much energy and am a bit more relaxed
@Arik I just checked out in the app using ApplePay and it crashed! How do I know if the order went through?

@ariked Absolutely love the idea. My profile pic definitely needs some refreshing.
That being said, the app is crashing after I pay through Apple Pay and deleting the selfie I took. Tried PayPal, it doesn't crash but it also doesn't take me to PayPal. Are you guys seeing failures in your in-app payment flows?

Hmm. Noticing a lot of companies working on side projects/websites to hack additional visibility on PH
@angeladopter If PH is an incentive for companies to create fun, quirky, or useful side projects then I'm all for it!
Great move on Fiverr's end. I wonder how many more vertical apps they'll create and if they chose this one based on the amount of demand on Fiverr for selfie caricatures?
@alexchiri We currently have no plans to offer Fiverr Faces on Android but as we develop future apps, we’ll consider introducing them across a variety of platforms.
@ariked What happened to this? Was this retired or does it still exist someplace?
@ghundermark Fiverr decided to focus on their main business, so Faces is no longer available for over a year.
Fantastic value prop. message and homepage. Love the niche focus. Can't wait to try this.
