Hey everyone ππΌππΌππΌ ,
Iβm Karthik, co-founder at Flexiple!
We have been building Flexiple for 5+ years now and entirely bootstrapped at that :)
It has been a great journey - starting as first-time entrepreneurs, we have slowly found our mojo and hit $3 million in revenue too! πππ
The cool thing about building Flexiple is that I get to do what I love - help startups & companies grow. The core job that we do is to help them build a dream team of developers & designers.
We do that by:
1. Handpicking talent: Ensuring we work with the absolute best
2. No-risk trial: We understand adding someone to your team is a big decision. So, we want you to be sure before you take that leap.
3. Custom offering: Our goal is to solve any hiring challenge you face. Full-time, contract or even if it is just searching for the right NoCode tool for you (free of cost), we will find a custom solution to help you succeed :)
Now, thatβs just our core offering. Apart from that, becoming a part of our network means:
1. Discounts on top products: You get huge discounts on amazing products that will further supercharge the growth of your company.
2. Access to our founder network: We have an exciting network of founders from top tech companies working with us. Each is an expert in their industry and set of functions. Connect with them and learn how you can grow your business further :)
Finally, what's new in this launch?
1. Full rebrand: Completely rebranded and revamped our platform
2. Sleek product: Easy-to-use and fully transparent dashboard for you to track your missions.
3. New dream talent: We have onboarded hundreds of mission-driven developers & designers.
4. Tech hiring central: Numerous resources to answer all your questions around developer hiring.
So, with that, I'll end this long message.
Do share your thoughts and comments. I'll be here all day to respond to each of them :)
@karthik_sridharan congratulations on the launch, the product feels fresh and amazing. Have been following your journey for quite sometime now and have to say this great work!
@karthik_sridharan Great to see you launch on PH! Have heard nothing but raving reviews from my friends who have used Flexiple over the years. Congratulations on building a successful bootstrapped business and all the best for future!
Congratulations on the launch, Karthik! It's impressive to hear that Flexiple has been bootstrapped for 5+ years and hit $3 million in revenue.
I'm curious about your process for handpicking talent. How do you ensure that you are working with only the best developers and designers?
@heyumarkhan Thanks a lot, Umar - yes, it has been a long, hard but rewarding journey :)
To handpick talent, we have a pretty extensive process.
1. Start with reviewing their application and seeing if they actually have depth in their past work
2. There is technical coding test that everyone has to pass through
3. A live technical interview with our panel of interviewers
Only those who get through these rounds join our talent network. For designers, we have a more subjective process at the moment of reviewing their portfolio and an interview call.
Of course, even after they join the network, we review our talent's performance with clients :)
@karthik_sridharan - Congrats on the launch! I'm happy to see a platform that simplifies the process of building dream tech teams for companies. Question for you - How does Flexiple ensure a great fit between the talent and the company, both in terms of technical skills and company culture?
@salil_sethi Hey Salil, thanks a lot :)
Great question! Here's how:
1. Evaluation: Our evaluation process enables us to get to know a candidate in absolute detail and over the years we have parameterized inputs at a very fine level.
2. Requirements gathering: We have a detailed call with each company to understand their expectations - both technical and cultural.
Both 1 & 2 together make accurate matching a science rather than a chance.
Beyond the above 2 points:
3. Manual matching & hand-holding: Even after the above process, we have a manual step in between where our internal tech expert reviews each of the recommendations made to companies. Our talent team ensures that there is alignment of expectations.
We succeed quite well on this.
4. However, we understand how big a decision it is to add someone to one's team. So, we offer the first week as a no-risk trial :)
Congratulations on the launch, I like the idea of focusing on the market needs at this time. Sometimes it's difficult to find quality technology talent. I have a question, do you handle the legal hiring of the employee, meaning do you provide benefits?
@yenire_leal Thanks, Yenire! Great question - no, we enter into a contract with our talent at an agreed compensation. This is not an employment contract and does not include benefits.
Please do reach out in case you think I can be of help :)
@dmitry_sytsevich Hey Dmitry, sorry missed replying earlier!
I was in a really painful Investment banking job before this. That broadly pushed me to never return to traditional employment again.
So, Flexiple is a product of that want to build something of my own. I love building stuff and with Flexiple I not only get to do that, but also get to help other people to build products for their dreams - doesn't get any better :)
If you're looking for help building your tech team, Flexiple is a great option. With handpicked talent, a 1-week no-risk trial, and contract or full-time roles, they can help you take your company to the next level.
Dropping by to comment on just how fricking cool the site is and the simple UX π€. I still remember the previous site built on Unicorn Builder π€―. You guys are shipping machines, whether it's content or code!
Karthik and Team, congrats on the launch. The redesign looks really good. It's interesting how launching a product though in business for 7 years could make your feel new. Wishing some exciting time ahead :)
@laxman_karthik Thanks Lakshmanan! haha, yes - we have miles to go before we rest. We want to help the startups, business & tech ecosystem as much as possible. So 7 years is but a minor blip in the long run π
Congratulations on the launch of Flexiple! It sounds like a great way to make hiring easier and faster for companies. I'm sure it'll be a game-changer in the industry.
Falling in love with your work on LinkedIn everyday and building a bootstrapped startup as well as sharing stories that that touches me as an individual.
Congratulations π on launch too!
Let's buildd it.ππ
Howdy, makers ! π Fantastic work on getting Flexiple on Product Hunt! π€ It looks great! I've just got a single question. How did you come up with this idea?
@ilyayaroshevichqa Hey Ilya, thanks a lot :)
Well, I was in a really painful Investment banking job before this. That broadly pushed me to never return to traditional employment again.
So, Flexiple is a product of that want to build something of my own. I love building stuff and with Flexiple I not only get to do that, but also get to help other people to build products for their dreams - doesn't get any better :)
@karthik_sridharan this is really cool. This solves a lot of hurdles for founders constrained by limited access to great devs and designers. Definitely giving this a shot! Kudos and all the best guys :D
I have been using Flexiple for the past few months as a talent partner and can totally recommend it. They take out the hard part of sourcing clients and let's me concentrate on my biggest strength.
@karthik_sridharan The revamp looks super cool. Following You and have flexiple from early days. Lots of insights learned from you, especially on SEO. Wish you all the best
Congratulations on the successful launch of your top-rated product on ProductHunt! It's clear that you've put in a lot of effort and dedication to make this happen, and your success is well-deserved
Hi! This looks really great! I used to work for a software house that offered Extended Team services and was wondering what are the advantages of using Flexiple over such a solution? They usually only charge you when they're successful in finding the right candidate.
Would love to hear more about your product as I feel as if this is a very interesting niche π
@mzatorski Thanks a lot! Dev shops or software houses typically work well when you want to outsource entire workflows or features, typically not core to the product. Our primary offering is staff augmentation, where the developer works like an extended team member. As you said, some software houses offer the extended team services as well and the model is then mostly similar to ours. It then just comes down to the quality of talent :)
@karthik_sridharan Thanks for the reply! I see a lot of value in your product and can definitely imagine how it could have helped some projects that I've been a part of. One more question for you; I mostly work on the Polish market and many customers hire developers from Poland to reduce costs. Where is most of your developer roster based in and how do you stay competitive in terms of pricing?
@mzatorski Thanks! Our talent is distributed across 50+ countries but has a higher density in India, & certain African countries. We have a good pool in Eastern Europe and Latin America too, but are trying to grow even further there.
To stay competitive in the market, we negotiate long-term contracts with our clients and talent, so that they see value in working at a lower cost.
