Congratulations on the release @trafnar!
Nathan Manousos
@dtrinh thanks!
Nathan Manousos
Thanks Ben, glad you like it :)

Be sure to check out our tutorial videos for a deeper look at how Flinto for Mac works. https://www.flinto.com/mac/help

@trafnar Nathan, love Flinto, especially the gesture navigation. Are you up for a quick chat over e-mail?
Nathan Manousos
Fun fact: Flinto for Mac is 100% written in Swift. We think it might be the biggest Swift app to date, since we started right when Swift became available and have been working on it nonstop until now.
Michael Xander
Oh wow, first @principleapp and now Flinto, which looks maybe even easier. Looking forward to try it out!

The iOS viewer app is magical! Looking forward to prototyping with this.
ben
Love the simplicity of the app. It's more powerful than their web editor! Congrats @trafnar!
Johan Steneros
I have used it for a few projects and results have always been great.
Phil Buckendorf
@trafnar Are your prototypes build with native code? How does Flinto compare to Pixate?
Nathan Manousos
@pbuckendorf Yes, the viewer app is all native. As for Pixate, you'll have to try them both and see what you think!
Phil Buckendorf
@trafnar Where do you see Flinto better?
Phil Buckendorf
@pbuckendorf So the viewer app is all native what about the prototype itself is it also native i.e swift code/objective -c?
Nathan Manousos
@pbuckendorf It's all swift, no web content. Not that I've got anything against web content. I just judge whether or not it looks right.
Courtney Zalewski
This looks wonderful! I can't wait to try this out.

Firstly, you have struggled with the complexity of the app. Then, you quickly figure out that Flinto is one of the most straightforward and flexible tools on the market. I did a massive prototype in a first night when I met it. I simply couldn't stop. It's so fun and easy. I do enormously huge prototypes in Flinto. Trying to imitate the whole app experience for a user. It's dope! Simple, versatile and productive tool. There's a lot of small issues with the rendering in-app, but I see developers always fixing them and improving the app behavior. I have only one request — add some drivers so I could make a specific step/state based animations.
Dan Moore
I'm not sure why animations are considered prototyping. Following the lean process, you'll want to prototype/focus on your differentiation, and if animations are your differentiation, you probably won't last very long. That said, if you need to design animations / custom interactions -- why use a 3rd party tool that you, or a developer, are just going to have to redo in another app? Is this REALLY that much faster than Storyboard? Does it export to usable elements?
Nathan Manousos
@toobulkeh Sure, it's much faster! I call anything that's a representation of a finished product to be built, a prototype. The closer that prototype looks to the finished product, the better.
Ben South Lee
The transition designer looks much more intuitive than the timeline in @principleapp. Pretty close to the ideal for a WYSIWYG prototyping tool. Great job Nathan.

What song is this?! Neither Siri nor Shazam seem to know it..
Ilyas Hassani
Export to xCode ? amazing product by the way
Nathan Manousos
@ilyashassani Thanks. No code export currently.

I love Flinto :D
Yakov Karda
Beautiful, and impressive to see it 100% written in Swift! Great job, congratulations, Nathan! @trafnar

I've been using the web version of Flinto for the past year and love it! I can't wait to try Flinto for Mac. Looks like there is a ton more features in this native Mac version vs. the web version. I assume there is no way to transfer my subscription to purchase the native Mac version or maybe they work together?
Nathan Manousos
@lifeofc Thanks, I hope you make something cool with it! Current subscribers don't need to buy the app, you can log in with your flinto.com account and continue to use it after the trial ends.
