Hi Product Hunt!
Since we were here last, the New York Times and CNN have written about the magic of Flow Club's virtual co-working community where independent workers from around the world gather to help each other stay focused and accountable to their goals. Virtual co-working is now a major movement!
Today we are sharing Flow Club for Communities to help you turn your own Slack/Discord/Circle community into a virtual co-working space. The problem:
As an online community manager, you're limited in what you can do to keep the community engaged on platforms like Slack/Discord/Circle
Our solution:
With Flow Club, you can enable your members to co-work right in Slack/Discord/Circle, helping them get more done while sparking new connections along the way. All this without admin involvement so you can focus on leading high-quality events, workshops and discussions.
How it works:
If you run a Slack or Discord, it’s as simple as installing a bot. Once done, we will help you organize the first co-working event to introduce it to your community. After that, any community member can organize co-working anytime for others to join.
The backstory:
The best part about Flow Club is not how it helps you get sh*t done (it’s very good for that), but as a spark for relationships. Our members have gone from strangers who just happen to use the same service to becoming co-founders, collaborators, each other’s clients, and friends who have regular social calls and meetups IRL. My favorite story recently is from a Flow Clubber in Germany who went on vacation in Mallorca and grabbed lunch with a Flow Clubber who lives there. All this from virtual co-working, if you can believe it.
If it’s not obvious why. Frequent, repeat interactions build strong relationships. That’s why our closest friends tend to be from school and work. As we move our lives online, especially away from offices or from people we want to associate with, we are running out of these interaction opportunities. Flow Club is here to help you change that!
If you are an online community organizer or know someone who is, share this with them!

Community managers: we'd love to hear about your experiences trying to run your own co-working sessions if you've done that! What went well and what didn't? And of course, we'd love for you to check out Flow Club where members and guests from all over the world participate in over 600 host-led co-working sessions around the clock every week: https://in.flow.club/?inviteCode...
We built out the Slack integration first, but we also want to hear from you if your community is on Discord, Circle, or another platform so we can prioritize what to build next!
Knowing that there are flow clubs waiting for me gets me excited to do work in the morning! It is one of the few productivity tools that has stuck for me. I love the community, format, every detail makes sense and helps me get things done.
I've been on FlowClub for a couple of months, and it's become a regular part of my day.
The key is that it helps you schedule "flow" time on your calendar, and you are responsible for showing up. Once you've done that, the task is only for what you think you can get done during the period. As you check them off, there is a mini celebration in your browser!
Flows usually are 60 to 180 minutes long, and you're "accountable" to the other folks in the flow. Nobody is judging if you don't get all your tasks done.
I've met dozens of amazing people, and we keep in touch on social media.
I'm in a flow right now, and have been using it for the last 2 months or so. It has helped my productivity while working in a remote team environment without the cost of having a brick and mortar workspace. It's been helpful for my ability to focus and keep me accountable for all my tasks. Thank you to @rickyyean@dtran320 and the Flow Club team!

As a long-time user and (occasional) host of Flow Club, I was thrilled to hear about this update! Having been part of the coworking scene since its early days, I have witnessed the evolution of community building over time, and I joined Flow Club because it offered an exceptional virtual coworking experience. Through FC, I have made countless friends, and this latest update is particularly exciting as it would allow coworking operators worldwide to unlock virtual coworking for their members. Thank you to @rickyyean@dtran320 and the Flow Club team for this transformative feature!
It is my belief that Flow Club's platform would be a fantastic complement to existing coworking memberships, and since a lot of coworking operators maintain communities on Slack, Discord, or Circle, it could be a game-changer for existing coworking communities everywhere! Ultimately, coworking spaces aim to facilitate interactions between community members around work, and this ready-to-activate virtual coworking is something any member would love. Congratulations, Flow Club, on a job well done!
Disclaimer: I do not work for Flow Club, but I am one of their biggest fans. :)
Flow Club has been nothing short of magical in boosting my day-to-day productivity and helping me push through the most intimidating items on my to-do list. The community is great, and I'm excited to see how it will work boosting community within organizations (especially big ones) in a world with a lot less physical water-cooler interactions.
I've been using Flow Club for more than a year and I TRULY love Flow Club!!!
Thank you so much for coming into my life, Flow Club!!!
Huge congratulations on the Flow Club team!!!
@rickyyean Congratulations on the launch of Flow Club for Communities, enabling Slack/Discord/Circle communities to co-work and achieve their goals together. A powerful tool for remote teams and communities looking to stay productive and connected. Great job!
Yep, I'm actually surprised how it has helped keep me on tasks. Many times during a flow I might have a small win and want to take a break, but because I have a dedicated amount of time for my flow, I find I push myself until the end to get the BIG win.
