I am Serafima, a Marketing Specialist and Content Producer at FlowMapp. For the past year, I’ve interviewed 100+ designers from startups and giants, such as Amazon, Adobe, Microsoft, NASA, CISCO, NBA, etc., to better understand the design industry, its strengths and weak points.
🧠 The main insight is this: The design industry is changing rapidly. With the pandemic, WFH, the introduction of Metaverse and NFTs, and other significant events of 2021, it became much more difficult for designers to keep up with tech trends and stay relevant on the market.
🔎 So I asked literally every experienced designer I could find about their visions of the industry’s future. Eventually, learning which design specialists will be desirable for employers in the 202X.
