I've been using this for a month now and I love the idea of passively learning a language while browsing the web. Excited to see this product evolve!

?makers This is awesome. I've been looking for a low-key way to learn French, and voila! Here it is.

This is awesome! Learned French at school, but other than the odd Duolingo session for a few weeks as a failed new years resolution, I haven't practised it for 7 years. Amazing how quickly it comes back to you after seeing the words in context.

One of the best ways to learn is to integrate it so seamlessly into your daily routine that you forget you're even doing it. You don't need AR, you don't need endless lessons, you just need something simple like this. Awesome job guys, I mean it.
Ara Ghougassian
@divineprofit Stefan, truly appreciate this, so happy you're finding Fluent useful so far!

Congratulations on the launch @gknd95 @ara_ghougassian1 Few weeks back I hunted the product, as it was not ready for all we pulled it down. I have been using it since few weeks now and the results are fantastic. I would like to see other languages adding up :) What are the next steps included in your roadmap?
Gavin Dove
@ara_ghougassian1 @divjpatel Hey Divynash, thanks again for the congratulations and the original hunt! It means the world, and we appreciate your being accommodating so we could have this launch go super well! Can't wait to show you what we have in store for the next few weeks :)

Great but every time I see extensions not for Safari I ask to do it. Now it’s much easier
Ara Ghougassian
@ivanyc Safari and Firefox are planned, we'll get to them soon!

Great addition to flash cards for building out your vocabulary. Learning a new language is often about just putting in the time and this makes it that much easier. Awesome idea!
Keith Mander
Such a neat idea. I really like that you can toggle the number of words translated and then aim to increase that over time. Would be interesting if it were possible to instruct the app to only translate words that are most often used in that language. There's often lists of most frequent word usage that can be found online. For someone new to a language, it makes sense to concentrate first on the say top 200 most used words. And then expand from there. So it'd be neat if the app did that – started with the most used and then expanded from there. Also, it'd be great to further enhance the approach of spaced repetition into the learning; flag words as easy/hard and then repeat accordingly. Combined with the idea of an expanding vocabulary list (mentioned above), this would really be something.
Daniel Pichel
This appears extremely useful to me. Thanks for providing such a great product. Terrific!

@ara_ghougassian1 Have you tried out Toucan (https://jointoucan.com)? What do you feel is Fluent’s main differentiation from what they are doing?
Jeremiah Lee
I would be interested in this if it were available for Firefox or Safari. Using Chrome allows Google to dominate the Web as a platform.
