Thank you for your Interest in Folksable. We appreciate your time and feedback. This is our Initial Launch after a Successful TestFlight, We have Incorporated Valuable feedback we got from the TestFlight Users, We have Focused on Keeping the App Simple for this Early Version and Will Continue to Provide Support and Bug Fixes with Updates following the Launch.
In Simple Words, Folksable is a Habit and task-tracking app, where you complete them by posting a photo of them with your friends to keep you accountable.
My Small Story: In late 2022, I was determined to improve my life by forming new habits. I had a list of personal goals, including learning to swim and making evening walks a habit for reflection. However, I quickly realized the lack of support and motivation in existing habit-tracking apps. Most lacked the social features needed for habit formation.
As a developer, I decided to create a solution, one that not only tracks your progress but also enhances your experience through social engagement. To make Folksable, I delved into habit research, listened to countless podcasts, and pored over popular books on the topic, reimagining the world of habit-building.
I believe this version is a good initial version of the vision to help users develop better habits.
Thank you for your attention, and please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or require further information.
Best regards,

Hi Dhikshith! Congrats on the launch of Folksable! It's great to see a habit-tracking app that focuses on social engagement. What inspired you to incorporate social features into the app?
@goyashy Hey Yash! Great question! The decision to incorporate social features into Folksable was driven by the understanding that building habits is often more successful and enjoyable when it's a shared experience. By connecting users with a community of like-minded individuals, Folksable aims to create a supportive environment where people can inspire and learn from each other.
When you can see the progress of friends or quote their achievements, it adds a layer of accountability and motivation. It's not just about your personal journey anymore; it's a collective effort towards self-improvement. Sharing tips, celebrating successes, and empathizing with challenges can turn habit-building into a collaborative and positive adventure.
In essence, the social aspect of Folksable transforms the often solitary pursuit of habits into a shared, uplifting experience. We believe that together, we can achieve more and make the journey towards our goals more fulfilling.
Can't wait to hear your thoughts as you explore Folksable! πͺπ
I really enjoyed your app on Android. You mentioned about your research on habit tracking, and it's good to see applications of those in your software. I was wondering if you could talk a bit about why it feels that we require social accountability to maintain our habits. Did your research indicate that?
I also wanted to add that your app's visuals are amazing and I loved the little things like change of themes on tapping the clock on the homepage. Appreciate the work you put into this.
@sambit_bhaumik Hey Sambit Bhaumik!,Thanks for Tuning in & Thanks a bunch for checking out our app on Android and for the awesome feedback β I'm over the moon that you liked the visuals, design and noticed the little details.
And you are on point about social accountability. Our research totally vibed with the idea that when we share our goals, it adds this layer of responsibility and motivation and helps us build self-image with our friends that we have biological need to keep consistent with, i'm thrilled that you are interested in learning about it, i'd point you to look at social contracts and memetic behaviour which is the basis of the research.
We wanted Folksable to be more than just an app β we wanted it to feel like a supportive community. So, you're not just doing your thing; you're part of a gang cheering each other on.
Your words mean a lot, and I'm stoked to have awesome users like you on board! If you ever have more thoughts or just want to chat about habits (or anything else!), I'm all ears. Happy habit-building, Sambit.
