As they say, your thoughts are what you read—and we’ve been consuming noisy feeds for too long! Follow organizes content into one timeline, keeping you updated on what matters, noise-free. Share lists, explore collections, and enjoy distraction-free browsing.

👋 Hi Product Hunt! I'm DIYgod, the creator of Follow and an open-source developer based in Singapore. Over the past decade, I've created and maintained more than 100 open-source projects on GitHub, amassing 67K stars ✨. Yet, none have meant as much to me as Follow 🧡. Six years ago, I launched an open-source project called RSSHub, designed to generate RSS feeds for any website or content. Thanks to continuous maintenance and contributions from over 1,100 community developers 👥, it has evolved into the world's largest RSS network—supporting over 1,200 websites and running on more than 5,000 nodes. While this is a remarkable achievement, I feel there's still more to accomplish. RSSHub caters primarily to geeks 😎, but I envision an information platform accessible to everyone—one that empowers more people to stay informed with ease. That's where Follow comes in. It's not just an RSS reader; it's a customizable information center where anyone can follow their favorite creators and feeds from any platform 🌎. No more jumping between apps or dealing with unwanted noise—just a consistent, streamlined experience. With AI-driven features like translation, summaries, and recent headlines, Follow offers intelligent and efficient browsing. If you're intrigued, please check out our promotional materials, official website, or GitHub repository to learn more 🔗. Follow has gained significant traction on GitHub, boasting over 16K stars and ranking first on GitHub's daily, weekly, and monthly trending repositories 📈. But I don't want it to resonate only with developers. That's why I've brought it to Product Hunt, a community of brilliant product enthusiasts and makers, in hopes of receiving your suggestions and feedback to further refine our product. Currently in its public testing phase 🧪, Follow still has some advanced features—like certain AI functions and the ability to create and share lists—that require an invitation code. If you're interested in diving deeper into Follow or have insights to share, please let me know in the comments 💬. I'll be happy to send you an invitation code. Looking forward to your thoughts and suggestions!
@diygod Wow! Congrats! The community support behind RSSHub is inspiring. Can you elaborate on how the AI-generated summaries work? Are they customizable based on user preferences?
DIYgod
@victoria_wu Thank you so much, it uses OpenAI's model GPT-4o mini, and we are also considering allowing users to customize prompts.

@diygod congrats for the launch! I’ve been using follow for about a month, and it reminds me the good old days of using google reader, but more than google reader! It’s really impressive!

As an alpha user, I was initially drawn to Follow’s clean and minimalist UI. However, after trying it out, I realized that the UI is just a small part of what makes it stand out. Its innovative product concept and more user-friendly interactions compared to other RSS tools are the main reasons I enjoy using it. I look forward to seeing it shape the future of this category of products

@zanweiguo thank you so much zanwei! ❤️

I used it for a few days now. My main use case is for following new articles from friends using RSS. I imported my OPML file. It took a while for articles to show up, but once it does it works really well. I love that the UI is very polished, IMO it's one of the most polished interface for reading feeds I've ever used. I also love that it supports many keyboard shortcuts and buttons have keyboard shortcuts intuitively shown in the tooltip. Do you have any plan for it to have a public API? I really would love to have the ability to subscribe to an OPML URL, because I manage my feed subscriptions in another system that provides a URL to an OPML file. This would let me update my feed subscriptions in Follow without needing to re-import my OPML file. I know this use case is very niche, but if I can manage the feeds via an API, I can write a quick script to synchronize my feed subscriptions and lists between the OPML and Follow. Looking forward to seeing how this project goes. Cheers!

@diygod & team congrats on your launch! It seems like you have great ambitions to build one software that combines all sources where you can follow - just curious, are you also planning to include many other sources next to RSS?
DIYgod
@alexanderfarr Thank you for your appreciation. We support various sources, even including email. That's right, you can create an email address in Follow, and any email sent to that address will be added to your timeline. Additionally, we support list features. You can subscribe to lists curated by others or share your own lists with them, as well as new protocols like JSON feed, fediverse, and more.

Launching soon!
I love the concept of organizing content into one timeline! Are there any plans for integration with other platforms?
AnneInCoding
@samalyx so far we support most platforms, let us know is there any you could not add on Follow.

So I lucked out on finding Follow a few months ago and the amount of work these guys have put in on a daily basis to improve the product has been incredible. I can stay updated with the latest news, what my friends are talking about on social media (which is now spread out amongst bluesky, mastodon and twitter) without having to log into those sites and so much more. Here's an example. I follow an extremely long list of security bloggers/researchers. Most post multiple times each day so it'd take me a couple of hours if I actually went through each and every post. Instead I can let Follow go through and point out what was important/widely talked about and then go from there to learn more. It gives me the chance to stay updated easily on what's currently a hot topic. Some of those blogs are in other languages too, which Follow auto-translates for me, just another nice feature. Go checkout my review for a few more examples, this is more than just an RSS reader, it's an entire content management system. A++
AnneInCoding
@brentter wow, thanks for sharing Brent, we appreciate and will always try our best to make the product better and better

Exactly what I have been looking for, well done. Couple things - I've maxed out my trial feeds and would love to keep going! May I request an invite code? Second, running an Intel, 2018 Macbook Pro and am being told the app is not compatible - is there another desktop app I can try? Android?
AnneInCoding
@john_galbraith pLQTHN0Ns2, Happy you enjoy, Thanks for your feedbacks, as the downloads you can try to check all our downloads here 👉 https://github.com/RSSNext/Follo...

I like what you have done. RSS is still an important way to get information. When we released QuickCreator as an AI blogging platform, a lot of users ask for RSS support for their blogs running on QuickCreator and that's why we add RSS support. Follow should be a very useful tool for anyone who want to subscribe contents from websites.
AnneInCoding
@zhitao_yan Thanks Tony, hope all the best for QuickCreator 🙏

I've used many RSS tools in the past, like Google RSS, Feedly, and Reader, but I haven't used theme for many years. Follow has made me want to try RSS again.
AnneInCoding
@bonvisions Thanks Bon, let me know if you have any feedback towards to Follow

As I have told with @diygod, that Follow is the next generation of monsters. // I'm a bit confused about the moderation of PH....😢 // I've been with PH since the launch, and recently I've been asking myself, “What's wrong?”
