For Progress, by Founder Institute — Platform helping entrepreneurs align with UN SDGs
The time is now for entrepreneurs to do their part in making progress towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The 'For Progress' planning tool helps entrepreneurs find achievable "Impact Key Performance Indicators" (iKPIs) to do so.

In 2015, the UN released 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and unfortunately we are nowhere near on track to achieve the Goals by 2030 (https://unstats.un.org/sdgs/repo...).
In speaking with countless entrepreneurs about "impact", we found that most entrepreneurs felt helpless on the topic (ex. "There is no possible way I could help solve poverty.."), or simply did not think they were the appropriate type of business or entrepreneur to make a difference.
We created the "For Progress" initiative, and this Planner tool, to help entrepreneurs building any kind of business find achievable and measurable iKPIs ("Impact Key Performance Indicators") for them to make progress on.
The message we are trying to get across here is that every entrepreneurs DOES NOT need to “change the world” -- they just need to do their part.

This is the kind of initiative that will bolster sustainability and progress to the entrepreneurial world.
Too often we think in terms of win-lose. This is especially true when people think of what businesses are doing in the world. However, here is an opportunity to be able show that does not have to be the case and there can be "win-win-win" scenarios.
First win, by tracking progress against the UN SDG's the entrepreneur can be inspired by seeing what a difference the business/idea is making in the world. This can now be a big motivator to keep on going or to create more businesses that make a difference.
Second win, by tracking the difference being made it shows how the money invested into the business and also being earned by the business is being used for good. This can now attract more investment dollars to do even greater good.
Third win, and this is arguably the most important, it is a win for all of us and all the planet as these differences are being made. It helps tremendously with the overwhelm that we all feel when we look at this massive problem and think how could I possibly do anything to solve this. Yet it is really just each of us doing our own bit that then adds up to one great big bit to solve the whole problem.
Congrats Founder Institute for making this tool that will help spotlight what great (and little) differences are being made and I know it will be a catalyst to inspire others to do more.
With less than a decade to actually reach the SDGs, this is a super important platform. Good work.
