I downloaded the trial yesterday. I'm very impressed and the experience is super intuitive. This is a huge improvement from previous versions. As someone who uses spends hours a day in Sketch I felt at ease and quickly grasped this version of Framer. Rather than importing one react component in at a time it would be awesome if I could connect a git repo or upload an entire project at once. Storyboard integration would be useful as well.

Cool, but woof there is a mountain of a learning curve. Also, only a 14-day trial, not a 30 day like Sketch. With my full-time job and parental life, it's gonna take me that time just to learn how to use the heckin' thing. Pro tip: Make sure you have a large swath of free time before you start the trial so you can maximize the initial usage to decide if it's right for you. They do seem to be aware of the learning curve and offer a lot of training vids. Looks really cool though, g'job!

Framer X is fantastic and the good folks at Framer are super responsive when it comes to feature requests and suggestions. I'd recommend Meng To's course to anyone getting started. Pavel Laptev's article on Medium also has some good pointers on how to get started with your own components: https://medium.com/@PavelLaptev/... —— that being said, you can create awesome prototypes without writing a line of code, especially if you rely on more common UX patterns which allows to use shared components from the store.

Pros:

Amazing flexibility, completely new way to prototype. Very stable already. Component democratization via Shared Component Store.

Cons:

Learning curve isn't exactly shallow, especially for non-React folks. Well worth the effort though.
