Friday is an asynchronous platform that helps accelerate the transition to working from anywhere. Roadmap your day, stay in sync with your team, and stay connected without another meeting.

Hi Hunters! I’m Luke, the founder of Friday. I started working remotely back in 2013 and no matter what company I worked for, I would ALWAYS run into the same exact issues. - It was difficult to know what was going on and what people were working on - I had no idea how my daily work fit into the bigger picture - I didn’t really know my coworkers We were using Slack and Zoom and while we loved these tools, it felt like something was missing. Working from anywhere offered so much promise and flexibility, but I was spending a ridiculous amount of time in bad meetings or needing to sift through workplace chat(ter). It turns out I wasn’t the only one. Almost every leading organization who’s been doing remote for a while has invested in building out their own internal tool to help: - Zapier has created “Async” - Stripe has created “Home” - Automatic has build P2 - Gitlab uses their own wiki product for their handbook - Shopify has created Vault What about the rest of us? You probably can't afford to create your own tool from scratch. That’s why Friday exists. We’ve built an asynchronous operating system that helps you automate what the leading distributed companies have built manually. Friday is not a replacement for Slack or a project management tool like Jira. Think of it as a coordination layer that sits on top of these systems. You can use Friday by yourself, with your team, or with the entire company. I hope you give it a try and let me know what you think! p.s. - you can read more about our vision here: https://friday.app/p/friday-asyn...

This is awesome. Our team has felt more connected and in sync despite being distributed across three different timezones since we started using Friday several months ago.

A cool visualization of the value of compounding focus time. I started implementing this process through G Docs and Things 3. If you haven't yet, take a look at the Things 3 Helper! I use it non-stop. Congrats on the launch!!

Wooooo yay congratz!! Huge fan of this and been using it for months with my team to manage our schedules/messages across all the platforms we use. Also the chrome extension showing my calendar when I open a new tab is a life saver.

i've been a user of friday (and a friend of @lukethomas14 's) for many, many years now. his relentless pursuit of building excellent products to enable remote work has been incredible to watch. very stoked to see this next evolution in the friday platform!

With remote work, our work is increasingly becoming more work and less community. One of my favorite things about Friday is the ability to add fun icebreaker questions, right into our daily standup. It's helped me get to know my team better and start non-work conversations with my coworkers.

I've never been one for stand ups, check ins, or quick chats that slowly eat away at each and every work day. Friday has essentially eliminated unnecessary chatter and given me the time I need to do my job. Every team I've ever been a part of could have benefited from this.

We use this internally and operate with essentially zero meetings. The only meetings we have are typically culture meetings (playing games, getting to know one another, etc...). We have 5 time zones represented and I always know who's working on what without having to be on at the same time!

I'm a big fan of this product. It transformed how we remote work at MedRhythms. You need to try it if you plan to have any remote workers or asynchronous communication.

The need for daily "to-do" lists have been a constant for me within the past 6 months, while balancing out job searching and overall life (health initiatives, administrative, blogging). Friday 2.0 makes it easier for me to list down what I may need to do for a given day, schedule tasks in advance, and upkeep daily habits and rituals. Even for personal use, this product has great potential to increase productivity and keep people "on-track" throughout their day. The integration with Google Calendar is super helpful, given that is my main scheduling source. Big shoutout to @ballanrahill for introducing this to me, over 2 months ago.
