FullStory is captures your site visitors' browsing behavior, useful for anyone that wants to better understand their users and how they use your product.
The best way to watch how your users use your app or website. Great UI and immediate value.
Cons:Not enough ways to frame data beyond searching "Who did what". Do I need this AND Mixpanel?
They do one thing instead of many, and they do it well, but the pricing model didn't work all that well for us. Besides, it's still one step behind Amplitude and the likes in terms of seeing the customer journey. I would still recommend them for the search function.
Pros:OmniSearch is amazing
Cons:Never got the pricing to match value right. Also, good luck setting up an umbrella account if you're running several sites.
Out of all the analytics tools we use (segment, mixpanel, intercom, fullstory...) fullstory delivers probably more value in terms of finding out where the issues are because you're not guessing... you don't need to make wild assumptions about graphs. You just watch.
Pros:Very clear qualitative data on your users
Cons:It can be hard to see users interfaces on slower connections
Product Hunt
When you're building a new products, user feedback is critical. You can gather feedback in a variety of ways, through in-person customer development interviews, surveys, and by simply looking at the data. I'm particularly fond of doing user testing (UserTesting is an awesome tool for this) although its only a "simulation" of what your users are actually doing.
FullStory captures a screen recording of your site visitor's actions and behavior within (cue Steve Irwin impression) their natural environment. We've used it many times at Product Hunt to better understand how people are using new or beta features we're building. It's ππΌ.
Pros:A "super power" for user research
Cons:Often the video stream remains static when the user opens a new tab, pauses
