Hi Hunters! I am Ceyhun, the CTO of Further. I couldn’t be more excited to share Further 2.0 with you and open it up to your feedback and appreciation. Let me give some technical details on how we developed our beloved product. Further has two different parts in its core. The content curation process and the content suggestion algorithm. The content curation process uses different methods for locating the content to add it to our library. After the said content is found, we use our NLP model to tag the content on its related topic while also scoring the content on how relevant it is. We use different filtering options to only add content to our library which we would want to suggest to our users. This method is used for different kinds of content, wether its read, watched or listened. After we form the library with our new content, we use our ML algorithms to calculate the custom scores of the content for one particular person. Our optimized processes give us the option of making these calculations on-demand, without effecting user experience which is very crucial. We log every user action to calculate the most accurate scores, depending on both the particular user and the users we think are similar. This algorithm suggests the best content out of 2M+ different entities, which our users then read, watch or listen. After my Google Discover was flooded with news articles about Elon Musk's Twitter shenanigans, I definitely missed having personalized news articles recommended and then I find this - this looks amazing and so much better than Google Discover. congrats on the launch @lara_tankal looks like a great tool but one question comes to mind - will the internal team be able to "push" certain narratives by force? bias is becoming a serious issue with MSM. does your tool tailor content based on user preference, so the "bias" in this case is your own (which is not really a problem on its own) or can content be pushed onto users by the founding team?
