Dang, as a long-time CS player I was excited to try this out, but got a Steam Authentication error when trying to connect -- looks like the site's credentials were maybe revoked? It feels like something will come out in this space as there's quite a bit of pent up demand for discovery of quality people to play with, and it's an idea I've heard mentioned a few times. On Reddit a while back there was an image-based idea for GameAppt that blew up but didn't end up launching -- On the other side of the spectrum, there have been quite a few successful CS:GO Betting communities, typically betting in-game "skins" (which I believe are pretty liquid) on professional match outcomes. A YC company Kickback https://angel.co/kickback https://kickback.com/ which used to focus on competitive Minecraft seems to have pivoted to CS:GO skin betting, but betting on your own individual performance rather than the outcomes of professional matches. Interesting potentially profitable stuff, but as a player I'm personally just interested in finding people to learn from and play games with.
