Advertising on Reddit. Worth it?
I've not really considered it before - I see reddit as a bit of a mine-field. It's got its own subculture, loads of rules, and you'll get sent straight to reddit-jail if you're self promoting.
But - I've been browsing, and I see tons of people asking the very question that our product solves. It almost seems too easy - here are potential customers, literally asking for what we sell.
What would you do? Throw a little bit of money at it, to test and learn?

honestly, I've found decent success on reddit but got posts taken down pretty quickly like you said :/
What i helped at least keep some of my posts was create an insanely useful lead magnet (like a 20 page document packed full of value) and plug my product within that. Some mods still took it down, but a lot of times it got me a ton of views! (60k on one)

@yukioyama that’s a great shout! At the moment I haven’t dared offer anything other than “impartial” advice, with multiple product recommendations that include ours!
@nik_hazell Yeah! Lead magnets are huge, and give people a reason to actually click your link. Kind of like a virtual sales person, that develops trust with a lead & invokes principle of reciprocity on your behalf!
I would love to hear your results. We see such high quality traffic coming from Reddit, but I've always been reticent to advertise there wondering if we would see the same results.
@brenna_donoghue Interesting - do you do anything to drive or "seed" that traffic - or is it just where your users tend to congregate?
