Any tips for decreasing editing time?

Editing a video right now, I'd consider myself and intermediate editor. I did it in college and did it sometimes for work. However, I'm trying a new editing style with TONS of cuts, captions, and a b-roll. We're a good 5 hours in on this 3-minute video. Does anyone have any tips or tools to cut down editing time? Thanks!

It's by no means a fancy editing tool, but Descript has changed the game for us when producing any social media or product videos, as well as turning vids into audio for our podcast. It may not be exactly what you're looking for, but does transcription so well, captions look great (can also be uploaded as an SRT file) and speeds up editing time.

No tool can save you if a 3-minute video takes you 5+ hours to edit, haha. What are you using at the moment?

@chris_sarca 😂 it’s more the monotony of finding applicable b-roll/animating captions than anything else!
