It's a rookie's mistake, trying to do everything by yourself. In the initial stages, when the confidence is high and the energy is great, it works but after that you have to rely on your team members for a lot of things. A lot of people, who have built successful products, often credit their teams and inevitably so. A great team is a foundation for resounding success.

Solo work only when your team is occupied or else I would suggest teamwork. You build your team with diverse skill sets. If you have to work solo then why build a team in 1st place?

TBH, I can't really understand what balancing solo could mean. I think while teamwork is the way to go and there's absolutely no way around it, it would still require a bit of balance with solo work of each individual in the group.
