Want to book clients in the DMs? Take this advice. ⬇️ ⛔️ Stop leading with your pitch. Don't talk about what you offer in your first message. Or your second. Or your third. Just forget about your pitch completely for now. INSTEAD... 🙌 Show up as a fan. Never reply to cold pitches. Reply to fans! People who like your stuff. So start with genuine compliments or appreciation, every single time. AND THEN? ❓ Ask questions. BUT WAIT – if you only ask a question because it'll lead directly into your pitch? Get ready to be ghosted. Ask a question you're genuinely curious about – no secret agendas allowed. THIS BRINGS ME TO THE NEXT POINT... 💁‍♀️ Be a real human. How? Communicate like you would with a friend. Send voice messages. Open up about what you're struggling with. Be a vulnerable, authentic follower – not a salesperson. AND AFTER A FEW CONVERSATIONS... 💭 Offer valuable advice for free. Don't ask if they want free advice – just offer it up graciously. Make sure your advice helps with something they're actually struggling with, and that it shows your expertise. THEN YOU'RE READY TO... 🗣️ Pitch casually. If they agree with your advice? Casually offer to help. Don't focus on the details of what you offer, but on how you know it'll help them. Keep it natural, and no pressure. Just show how you're willing to help.
