Child-friendly educational app for kids with simple poems. Feedback required.
Hi folks,
I am writing simple poems for my toddler to learn the alphabet, simple words, and animal names. Based on these poems, my husband and I have created an iOS app for our daughter. We tried to create a safe, educational, and child-friendly app, without loud, distracting sounds and too bright design.
It is our first app and first release, so we are super excited. We are planning to add animation and gamification to the app on the next releases, but keep it simple without losing the main idea - inspire a lifelong love of reading.
There is much room for improvement, so I would greatly appreciate if you could share your thoughts on our app and provide feedback.

Adding parental dashboard is a great idea, will definitely take it into consideration.
Option to customise content is another excellent point. I was thinking about words constructor, where patents can type in kid’s name or any other word, so that corresponding letters pages and activities will be displayed, so that kids will learn how to spell it. Option for parents to enable or disable content will be also helpful.
Simplicity is a key - so true. The main challenge is keeping things simple, without letting them stay behind the times.

Toddlers often enjoy interactive elements. Consider adding touch and drag features that allow kids to engage with the content. This could be simple actions like tapping on letters to hear their names.
Narration and Pronunciation: High-quality narration with clear pronunciation is essential. Ensure that the voiceover is slow and easy for children to understand. It should help them with proper pronunciation as they learn.

Adding simple actions like drag and tap, is an excellent idea. The interaction should be age-appropriate and easy for kids.
Great point about voice-over. We used an AI tool for audio to ensure clear pronunciation and pleasant voice. Thanks for sharing an app as an example.
