Does it make sense to create marketing course when the market is full of them?
Honestly, I have been thinking about creating something for the last couple of weeks.
Maybe a marketing guide video course with written materials as well.
I write a lot about marketing topics in my newsletter and talk with founders on my YouTube but I know I can push it further.
My questions for you:

Totally makes sense to create a marketing course if you can focus on something specific or unique that others don’t cover.
Does it make sense right now?
Yes! Even with lots of courses out there, people are always looking for practical, niche content they can actually use.
What topics interest me?
I’d love something on using AI in marketing, building data-driven campaigns, or growth tips for SMBs.
Any good courses I’ve taken?
Yeah, HubSpot Academy & Ahrefs courses—super actionable and straight to the point.
Fair price?
If it’s in-depth and useful, anywhere between $50–$150 feels right.

To answer your question, I’d prefer a one-time purchase for the core course, but the option for a subscription makes sense if it includes regular updates and access to an exclusive community.
That way, people can choose what works best for them!
You absolutely should! You have a great niche audience of early-stage indie hackers & founders. As a group, they don't have a ton of money to spend 😅 but they will make small, strategic investments as they try to get from "side-hustle" to real business. You probably have a better sense of what founders want from talking to them, but some random ideas:
🔧 A set of tools (Notion templates, Canva templates, content schedules) can elevate a course and make it more of a starter kit.
💰 For pricing research, check out ShipFast and other SaaS boilerplates. These set some existing price anchors in this space.
📸 Look at analogous niches, e.g. Joy Michelle in the photography space. She has a "Hobby to Pro Toolkit" designed to help people launch their photo business. But she also has a course & community focused on growing an existing business (Photoboss), and finally higher-ticket 1:1 coaching.
As someone who is in your target market, the top thing I would want from a course like this is focus. With marketing, there are so many things you COULD do, but marketing is always evolving, and there's a ton of survivorship bias coloring the advice that you get from other founders. If I only have 1-2 hours/day to focus on marketing, what are the highest-leverage areas/channels to prioritize?
@bensyverson That's why I want to make it more complex.
Everybody has a unique scenario for its business so I want to deliver people with as many options to possible so they can choose that one that is the most effective for them (in price as well as distribution and time possibilities) – for now, I am doing research.

P.S.: To make it clear – I take a look at marketing from the perspective of psychology, sociology, economics etc. so this could be divided into many parts.
A Podcast will be amazing. would love to hear you answering the questions rather than having an written or a video clip. I am sure you will inspire all the founders out there including me with your amazing answers!! Just my suggestion. Open for other's opinions.
@nifal_adam2 Why podcasts? I do video casts (even it is harder) but people can listen to it too.
@busmark_w_nika I have watched your videos and have learned a great deal about marketing from them. What I meant to say was that in a podcast setting, the host can pose well-researched questions, leading to an engaging conversation. To be honest, there is still much more we can learn from you.
If you have an audience, you can make any courses, because they trust you and your content. And everything else depends on the audience - how much they are willing to pay and what they are interested in.
Personally, I sometimes buy courses, it is often an impulsive purchase. And I can pay both $100 and $1500. But more and more often I come across scams, so there is less interest.
@nickanisimov Feel sorry to hear that because untrustworthy people can damage the overal interest in the market with courses. What type of course was that scam? Didn't provide enough information or what happened?

How about a book or two? 📚
Or maybe add all your writings on a machine learning program that will reply to "marketing questions" with accurate and reliable information to create valuable and useful content and not just the typical ai generated answers...
