For a SaaS, is a freemium plan a game changer or not?

I am considering including a freemium plan in my offers. The main goal is to increase the number of users. What's your opinion on that?

Freemium is what almost all SaaS products implement. I feel it's the right strategy and can cover all types of users.

@shreya_gupta02 it's not a ton of extra work if you plan for it from the beginning - but you do have to consider the cost of free users.

As a media buyer - Meta Pixel Helper and Tag Assistant Legacy :)

It's a great way to expand the consumer base. Users are more likely to pay for your product after trying out a free/trial version.

I think freemium has become somewhat of a standard in SaaS and is a great way to increase your customer base, plus a well-balanced package helps you convert from a free to a paid account.

Nope freemium to a paid plan is a good model . You just gotta make sure your SaaS is sticky enough.

Including a freemium plan can definitely be a game-changer for attracting more users to your SaaS product. It allows users to experience the value you provide firsthand and can lead to increased conversions. Just remember to balance the features you offer for free and those in the premium plans to drive sustainable growth. Best of luck with your decision!

Yes a freemium plan can be a game changer for a SaaS company if it is implemented thoughtfully, with a focus on product quality, market fit, and a clear strategy for supporting both paying and non-paying customers.

It is, when it’s sophisticated. Check out Posthog. They are brilliant.

In my experience freemium model rarely works especially if you are not ready to support your free users. In most B2C apps I worked with, there is a really small percent updates to paid tier. 30 day trial was much more profitable.
