[Help] What marketing communities do you actively engage with?

22

Hi everyone,

We’re looking for beta users for our AI video tool BrewVideo. As it's a tool build for creating product videos and explainers, our primary audience is marketers, especially product marketers at this stage. So I’m looking to connect with marketing communities where they go to share challenges, get help, or stay up to date with trends.

Personally, I rely a lot on podcasts (which don’t help in this case…), LinkedIn through my network, and some Reddit communities like r/growthhacking. But I’d love to expand our reach - what marketing communities do you follow or recommend?

Many thanks!

@natiakourdadze @gamifykaran Thanks a lot! I wasn’t sure how to navigate Reddit properly, but this gives me great guidance.

Ruth Funmilayo

I engage in niche Discord servers where marketers discuss everything from SEO to paid ads.

Reddit's r/PRC and r/SEO are my favorite places to exchange strategies and learn from other marketers.

The best thing and asset that you can have is to create your own community and make it bigger.

But Reddit seems to me quite okay for this, partially Twitter and PH.

I usually check Linkedln groups and follow marketing newsletters for updates, but when it comes to discussions

Renly Borris

Reddit is great, but I’ve also seen some solid marketing communities on Slack and Discord.

Have you thought about looking at influencers in the marketing space? I honestly just had to learn marketing myself and there's a lot of content marketing influencers with a lot following out there. I know it's not as efficient, but there's a lot of comments from people who are interested in marketing in their videos (TikTok, Youtube, Instagram, etc.). And in some way, if you get their attention enough, they might go to your profile

@psproductperson That's a very good shout! Leaving attention-grabbing comments can be effective indeed. Thank you!

As a non-marketer, I have found immense value in Discord servers with all kinds of chatter. Some of which has been immediately useful since I'm trying to learn everything from scratch, and some of it has been....strange. Still super useful to get a ground level feel of what people are actively thinking about in real time.

Good question! I’ve found that different marketing communities work for different purposes—r/growthhacking is great for scrappy tactics, Indie Hackers has solid discussions around product-led growth, and Twitter (or X?) is surprisingly good for real-time insights if you follow the right people.

Also, if you're into product marketing, PH discussions can be valuable when approached strategically. What’s been working best for you so far?

By the way, we’re launching Helix soon—would love your thoughts! Just visit my profile and click ‘Try Helix for FREE’!

There are some great marketing communities out there depending on what you’re looking for. LinkedIn groups, Slack communities like Demand Curve, and subreddits like r/digital_marketing and r/growthhacking are solid.

I also run a LinkedIn growth-focused community where members share strategies, discuss engagement tactics, and help each other improve their LinkedIn content. It’s been a great space for marketers looking to build their brand and reach the right audience.

What kind of insights are you hoping to get from these communities?

@puja_duseja I'm trying to connect with different marketing communities, particularly product marketing ones at this stage to get beta user feedback for our video platform built for busy marketers.
