When we launched Vidyard, our most important activity was to talk with potential customers and translate those conversations into trials and eventually, sales.
Personalized cold emails were my only productive channel for growth.
From there, we learned the nuances of messaging, demand gen, social and inbound marketing.
Those channels took a long time to be productive and so without outbound, we would have failed.
How are you finding / acquiring your first paying customers? What's the approach?
