How did you validate your startup idea?

I started by open-sourcing my idea and creating a community on top od that. Now, I'm almost ready to launch my product after the community validation. What's your strategy?

we're building a social platform, so we tried to recreate the platform in the simplest possible analog format, using texts and shared notes. it was honestly pretty effective and gave us real conviction in the user problem. we spent a few weeks doing this (and interviewing a bunch of folks) before we felt ready to start building.

Picked a validated market :)

We are creating an MVP. As for me, it's the most reliable means to validate an idea, but not the easiest and the fastest.
