How I got +12k views on my reddit posts

One thing I know, reddit is one of the hardest thing to crack. Only few subreddits allows promotions. And, if you try to sell there the reddit users will become brutal. I posted "Are you launching your product? Share it! Lets support each other" in r/SaaS and within few hours my phone was loaded with notifications (I got +100 comments and 20 shares) Here are few things I learned after going viral - Pasting the link in the post will reduce it chances of getting viral - Instead, introduce yourself and paste the link the comments - If you are selling directly, it's never been successful - Try using indirect methods of directing traffic to your website - Reply to comments and ask question to keep the conversation going - Speak to their interests Do that all and with some luck you will eventually end up going viral on reddit.
