How I got my first 100 people on my waitlist!
Hey everyone! I’m a complete novice to the SaaS space, but I was able to get my first 100 emails on a waitlist to use my product with 0 followers and 0 marketing experience through this method.
basically, made a really great lead magnet
1. I knew how to grow a YouTube channel, so I made a valuable guide (10+ pages) on how to do it.
2. Within the guide I plugged my product, because it solves a legitimate problem I encountered throughout the process of growing on YouTube.
3. I posted this guide on Reddit (got some negativity ofc because i was plugging a product, but a lot of positive responses as well!)
For anyone in a similar spot who might not have the budget for ads or have a large audience, this is a great first way to get first potential customers.

People on Reddit mainly got mad that i plugged my waitlist in the guide, but I personally feel like that’s a bit unjustified considering how much effort i put into writing this.

@yukioyama Wow, I just went through your guide. I can't really believe people sent hate for that. It's like the bite-sized content of Ali Abdaal and Thomas Frank (another productivity YTber).
