I second the approach to manually call your clients!! Definitely the best method to almost guarantee actionable feedback... Take time to research the best survey methods for your clientbase - draw from other successful companies in your sphere. Keep in mind the questions you ask matter a lot, as you are trying to maximize feedback. Also, be reasonable in the length of the survey and consider whether or not it's appropriate to require the user to fill it out. All that depends on what your product does and how long your user stays on the site, of course.
