How would you validate your MVP?

Hello! How would you validate your MVP? Meaning - how would you determine that you should elaborate your MVP much deeper and spend probably years with the current idea? Is there any checklist or framework that you'd recommend? Thanks in advance!

I came across this post on IndieHackers recently, it may be of help: https://www.indiehackers.com/pos... For me, though, I build things for myself and it grows from there. All of my projects have an inbuilt audience of at least 1. I'll then discuss them with relevant people and find out if it seems like something that should be expanded upon.

@smcn Totally agreed! For example, I built https://www.coffeebeans.fyi/ to discover great coffee beans and try them. Hopefully, some of the ideas that I'll prototype resonate with a lot of people :)

Not unlike Crowdfunding, Pre-Order pages have proven a very effective way to validate your MVP, often, before you even build it. Oculus Rift is a prime example of this method being utilized as they released a pre-order page for their development kit before they even began production of them. FaceTime App
