Let's read the Dark Mode

Talking about visual modes that you can design a website in, it could be 3 - 1. Fully light mode 2. Fully dark mode 3. Mix of light and dark mode It's great to give the users the choice to pick their preference of this mode. But quite a lot of websites break when users switch between modes. While doing the market study for building the cxful design system, I have come across some major drawbacks that lead to this broken mode-switching system. Solved it now with our True Dark feature. But I'd like to learn from you any instances about the dark mode on a website from your experience as a designer, a developer or a user. What should the perfect transition between light and dark modes look like?

I prefer having an option to switch between the modes. It should be a logical way, within one button reach. More work from designers and developers is involved, of course, but it's worth it when done right. However, not every website/app needs it.

@vertikanigam, just a usual unified toggle button on the top right of the website screen, or in the menu responsive versions. Some put it in Settings, also works.
