Rate the importance of good branding and design for a startup on a scale of 10.

For an early-stage startup, design is secondary. It's more important to find a product-market fit

As a designer by heart, I want to say 100% important, but my experience says it's not. As much as I love perfecting a design or finetuning our brand, I know it won't matter if there isn't a Product Market Fit. However, I don't believe it is 0% either. Good design doesn't just mean that it looks good, but also that it works well. And good branding can create trust and make people feel more attached to your solution than a competitor. So, as with most things in life, I would say there needs to be a balance 😅

Your brand is the first impression you make on a potential customer. Make it count! Good branding and design builds trust, creates memories, shows that you care and triggers certain emotions.

This is important for the product.
