The Agent is good, if you want to build something insanely basic.
Like an EdTech landing page, or an one pager for validating an idea.
For anything else, which is probably what everyone needs is super buggy.
I tried to build an AI Agent that manages private keys and signs transactions for users.
Replit for some reason created an app with the following things
1. Page to login/register
2. Page to generate my Keys
3. An OpenAI integration where I ask where should I store my keys and gives me an answer LOLOLOL .
AI Replacing developers? NOT THERE YET.
Product Hunt
Just like actually coding, using Replit can take a wrong turn and end up feeling like banging your head against a wall. I burned through a bunch of checkpoints trying to get a simple button (kept seeing a blank screen), and eventually started over and it just worked. The promise here is incredible - I think in a few months even, many non-coders will be able to create pretty robust applications.
With greater power comes greater imagination...I think we might see an explosion of consumer app creativity as people build apps for themselves and a rare few take off.
