I would say do marketing 50% of the time and use the other 50% to get your self up to speed on the tech and get in front of your competition

Don't wait for opportunities to come to you. Seek out new challenges and responsibilities at work. Volunteer for projects that interest you and that will give you the chance to learn new things.

Tech is not only about coding! It encompasses marketing, sales, user experience design, project management and a other disciplines that collectively shape the success of a technology product. Dont be afraid to try and take different tasks and then you find out for yourself where you wanna be in tech!:)

Focus on gaining solid fundamentals first. Understand the basics thoroughly before moving on. This will set you up for success as things get more advanced.
