As an experiment, we're organizing a No-Code Garage Sale today,
where visitors can take old builds out of the hands of busy makers.
For a bargain ofc, like a real garage sale.
Really curious how how this will be for both sides 👀

If you had to choose, which do you love the most personally: the building part, or the marketing part?
@kattrisen @hdkstr tough for me to choose between the two. Probably the building but the marketing is where the rubber meets the road and can be so fulfilling
There's a word: Rebranding :D
If it's a great idea or product, it just might need adjustment.
Sunsetting should be the last option. ♻️

But what if your old builds are still buzzing through your head, but are actually distracting you from your current projects?
I see people on Twitter killing projects to move on.
Like @mddanishyusuf who decided to stop working on QuickAPI in November, because B2B is not his cup of tea.
Decisions like this make a lot of sense, but personally I always find it very hard to let go old ideas 🫣
@mddanishyusuf @hdkstr Yes! I guess you would need to look into your personal beliefs and bets, and decide based on that.
My carefully defined strategy is to let them die but continue paying for them indefinitely, meaning I have at least $290 a month of Bubble fees from my 10 apps, most of which have no users.
Perhaps I'll write an e-book about this strategy!
But seriously.... the garage sale is a fantastic idea and I'm already looking forward to more in the future.

It's just hard to let go ideas you were so excited about isn't it?
Maybe it will be easier when you know it's going to a good destination. We'll see, worth trying 😅
Have tended to hold on to my previous builds, which is not very satisfying.
Would be great to find a new owner / fresh set of eyes to take those projects to their full potential! Someone might have the perfect audience for the project.
Have spent January revisiting a couple of projects with a view to either monetising or selling on to someone else.
Will attend the No-Code Garage Sale tonight, would love to see someone else grow my old builds that is good at marketing and sales 😃

As a designer and no-code maker I love starting experiments and manifesting the potential of ideas, but don't always want to keep them all running. This is a great idea to find good homes for viable projects!

IMO, the experiment was a huge success!!
I think this would be brilliant. I have built a lot stuff that I don't use anymore. I could be thrift shop for old builds. Would love to work on this!
@ali_haider32 I think a lot of makers relate to that. So many creative ideas and great builds might get wasted because they are just staying in someone's dashboard without any plans.
