Impressive thoughts, @pwellens! GPTs certainly have transformative potential and can revolutionize search. Real-time, personalized help is an intriguing concept. Looking forward to seeing these specialized AI agents in the GPT store. Maybe the contributor platform can effectively become the new "Google"? Could this also pave the way for democratizing access to technical knowledge? What's your take? Don't forget to upvote if you found this interesting!
GPT has the power to displace Google search the way we know it today. Each GPT can absorb content such as PDFs and other docs. In other words, each GPT can become an expert of the domain associated with the ingested data.
Soon you'll see specialised AI agents available on the GPT store that are "trained" on large corpus of expert content and who can guide anyone. These agents will help people fill out taxes for a given country, learn about regulations in a given sector, guide people who travel to a city like Paris, etc. They'll use a freemium models - you get free advice but you need to pay for more personalized help.
The cherry on the cake will be the overarching layer to orient people to the right GPT and get an expert response. I assume that layer will be offered by OpenAI eventually. That would be the new "search" which aggregates all GPT assistants.

Augmenting imaginative and cooperative capabilities of humans. While working with users on creative and technical writing activities like songwriting, screenwriting, or figuring out a user’s writing style, GPTs may produce, edit, and iterate alongside them.
I like where it is going. I've thinking to use GPT4 youtube analyzer plugin to analyse a lot of interviews, then feed them into a few GPTs, to get my personal SEO, Marketing agents, always updated with the best case practices.
Imagine if, like Android apps go to the Play Store, OpenAI wants apps built using its APIs to hit the GPT Store. Not too crazy, right? Think Shopify or Zoho stores. Big companies have their own apps ecosystems.
Just hoping it's not a closed system, and we can drop our OpenAI-based apps on GPT Store and also have them standalone.
GPTs open up a world of possibilities, especially in content creation. They can generate articles, scripts, and even poetry, revolutionizing how we produce and consume content. Imagine a GPT-powered newsroom or a scriptwriting assistant! The potential for efficiency and creativity is immense. Maybe a property investment analyzer. Something to scrape and look at a set of properties, add them to a prospect list, and determine a profitable set to purchase based on a metro-cluster. Might even lead to faster NOI requests and Acquisitions.
