What are some of the biggest factors that make AI-generated videos look fake?

As a producer, I find that AI-generated videos cannot hold its camera movement still(althought I clealy stated in the prompt), but ironically make some of the object's movements completely still like an image (i.e. trees's leaves, people in the background) This incongruity makes some of the generated videos a bit disturbing and unnatural.

Three instant tells: wonky eye contact, robotic hand movements, and out-of-sync lip movements.

@tjlarkin with Runway's Act-One you can sort of make it looks natural(though that's not technically cheating...)

I've found that the fingers on most AI generated people still look messed up.

I find that creating video from an image is more challenging and often results are not very convincing.

Those AI-generated characters don't look like having a direct eye-contact with you. I had a feeling that they look at my shoulders.

The problem I am describing could be due to how AI handles motion prediction. It often fixes the main subject’s movement but neglects minor details like background elements

But it does have some usability as a video source. It would be too greedy to want to make a full video, though.

I believe these issues will be resolved quickly, but the recognition of human emotions is a long-term process.
