What are the benefits of getting longer streak on product hunt?

I am on a 20-day streak. But I am not getting this idea. Can someone explain?

It's just fun, I don't think it does anything to your account

We can hope that people check out what we do. Very few do this, alas. I wouldn't count on getting much out of it.

@mycelebs_elle oh! I think now I am getting the idea. This way you can become a top hunter. Because you get more following by becoming more active member at PH.

It's just gamification - but it does work! Don't want to break that streak! If anything I noticed more random follows as my streak got higher - don't know if this is just background noise, of if some accounts go through the streak leaderboard to find people to follow...

@matt_harbord yes I get your idea. And I think its better than snapchat streak where other users don't let you break it when you are fad up with it.
