What are your favourite buildinpublic makers? Feel free to share favourite projects made by them
I know that the Product Hunt is at the moment place where most projects are more "corporate" or funded by VCs but there is still some amount of buildinpublic makers, indie hackers or solopreneurs.
Do you have your favourite besides those big ones? (I mean besides Levelsio or Marc Lou) đ
For me, it is e.g.
@andreihudovich â with BlueskyMeter â Analytics for Bluesky social media
@lera_kuntsevich1 â with ClipWing â a tool for video creation
@iuliia_sh â with PaperMark â a tool for LinkedIn post creation and growing the follower base â I also like her educational posts.
(just to name a few)
Whose work do you admire the most?
Feel free to share these people.
You at least support them this way. đ

Cool builders to keep an eye on (especially on X).

@cryptosymposium we need more women and I sometimes lack of inspiration when I try to find them in this space. Because most of makers are males. Thank you for sharing! :)
@busmark_w_nika i know!! and it is bad. Here in barcelona though i must say there is a strong community of women entrepreneurs. In any vertical !! I have a friend and she is the founder of the community. Very strong.

Didnât know about any of these makersâdefinitely checking them out! Love seeing indie builders still pushing forward despite how much the landscape has changed.
Lately, it feels like building in public isnât as organic as it used to be. Do you think itâs getting harder to stand out, or has the audience just shifted?

@hussein_r Hard to say. The community is really big so I do not have glimpse at everybody but I think that some guys are really exhausted so they shifted back from "public" to "private" maybe?
Who are your favourite makers btw? :)

@busmark_w_nika Yeah, that makes sense. Building in public can be exhausting, especially with the constant pressure to always share progress. Iâve noticed some makers shifting towards a more hybrid approachâstill sharing, but more selectively.
As for favorite makers, Greg Isenberg is definitely on my list, and of course Marc Lou, though you already mentioned him. I find it interesting that a big part of Marcâs success comes from ShipFast and CodeFast, essentially a course on how to build and launch profitable apps. It reminds me a bit of the âselling the shovelsâ approach, where instead of just building, you also teach others how to do it.
That being said, I totally respect it. Heâs built a strong brand, and I still find his journey really inspiring. I find it fascinating to see the different paths people take. Some go all in on SaaS, some focus on community, and others mix building with teaching.
By the way, Iâve noticed that youâre super active on Product Hunt, in fact the Queen of PH at this point. đ I really like that youâre taking the community approach, which I think is becoming more important to stand out today. Itâs not just about launching, but about actually being part of the space and engaging.
Since youâre so deep in the community, Iâd love to hear your takeâdo you think just building a great product is still enough, or has the game completely shifted to where teaching and engaging are just as important? And if so, whatâs the best way to balance it all?

@hussein_r I follow Greg as well! :) And thank you! :)
Building a strong product is more necessity and it is not all. You need to create also good service and nothing works "lonely." My take is that when founder or someone successful also share useful tips that helped them to succeed, they get more attention, traction, and authority.
